The Hellcat-Powered Ram Rebel TRX Will Reportedly Have Over 700 HP

Allpar, citing unnamed insider sources, reports the Rebel TRX will have over 700 horsepower, just like every other production FCA product that uses the 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat engine. This is notable because while the concept used the same engine, it was detuned to just 575 hp. Allpar says power will travel to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission and a heavy-duty four-wheel-drive system.

Allpar also reports that, contrary to some reports the truck would have a more tame exterior, the production TRX will share many of its design with the original concept. That means big, widened fenders, a rugged fascia, and plenty of off-road goodies. Inside, Allpar says the TRX will get FCA's new 12-inch touch screen infotainment system, along with a feature-heavy cabin as standard.

Ram hasn't made any details on the Rebel TRX official just yet, so we won't know for sure what the truck will be packing until then. Either way, it's hard not to be excited about a factory-built Hellcat-powered pickup.

I WAS excited for this truck...A YEAR AGO!

Now I'm more excited for the hellrango than this...and that's sad.

2yrs too late to the party and about 20k more than most will want to pay for a ram.

Raptors out number Corvette's in my neck of the woods. If FCA wants its 80k transaction 1500 truck, they won't put build limits on it.
Hell, there are a few dealers by me that only sell trucks. If its like the Demon allocation process, id expect some of these "farm" dealers to get 15 allocations for the TRX lol

I agree 100%. It’s going to have to be competitive with the Raptor and maybe better priced for it to sell. $100,000 and the truck will collect dust on dealer lots.

Agreed, with a base V8 Limited getting near $60K; maybe a base TRX could start in the mid to upper $70’s.

$80k+++ is going to be a tough sale unless they only do a limited, numbered run. Plus, it won’t get any of the rebates/incentives that the normal 1500’s get. Hell at that price range you can get a new stripped hellcat and a new Big Horn 1500.

It’s incredible what a disservice Dodge and Ram has done and truly ridiculous. Why the hell don’t they share anything lately? I mean truly how many people are going to line up for
A 1500 Truck that’s expensive and not practical for most. Just look at the Trackhawk I mean really how many years did we wait and then hmm how many flew off the lot????
Terrible marketing lately and dodge went from being the king of marketing with the Hellcat and Demon and now not so much.

I suspect that part of the low sales is that it doesn't look different enough to most people.

On the other hand, they have sold at least two of them because they don't look much different from a regular Grand Cherokee.
As much as I enjoy mine, I wouldn't want it if it screamed "Look at me", by design or decals.
