Well being in the const industry for over 35 years, you can't get around it. If you want to not have yoe ass handed to ya boy some one. I found out, 10 Fords, 1 Chevy, 1 Dodge. That was fer me. Employees all wanted Fords like them pr not. The last Ford, 5 yrars ago, F250 extended cab, 8 foot bed, topper was the biggest piece of crap I have ever owned. Great looking and storage but riding was awful. Fiancee #6 and I took it to Tenn for a break in situation. Yea,,, it broke us in alright and from there it never got any better. The ride, leather, tires suspension, all sucked. Got rid of it and made nothing of the sale.

I drove CDL-A for over 10 years...tired of steppin in diesel while fuellin and smellin that shit forever...I WILL NEVER OWN A DIESEL DD....OR PICKUP....unless yer pullin a 35 ft. camper loaded to the max...they make no sense...

Family business when I was a kid was dump trucks building the levees on the Great Salt Lake.

Diesel, mud and salt.

Makes my skin crawl

As far as the show - it all about entertainment/ monetization and not about credible, repeatable data production

I don't care which one is fastest. My Ram Cummins is for towing and it does a great job. GM trucks are junk. Ford would be my 2nd choice.

Amen, my dad worked in the trucking business, and unless you need a big time work vehicle or have to tow, especially in the mountains, they are just big noisy, stinky things...and make no mistake, their emissions are nasty and very poisonous, and everyone out here likes to mod them and roll coal and take all that stuff off. Those fuckers should have to breathe in their own exhaust,

Correct the RAM is the BEST tow vehicle in its class and I know because I have driven all of them and the newer ones at that. GM to me seems to not handle the loads as well but not arguing just sharing.

Bla,bla, bla, Ram is the best for towing”, bla, bla, bla. Why would anybody buy a HD diesel truck if not for towing?

Correct but you'd be amazed how many people buy Diesel trucks and never actually use them for the heavy duty. And really no different for all the car guys who buy high performance vehicles and actually race them. I mean damn I feel after some of the comments I am in the Girly car section of conversatons😂. I mean come on calling out guys buying Diesel Trucks and yet everyone here has high performance cars that many barely if ever even use to race😳. Uh huh whatever hey lets all convince the Coal truck nuts to buy the new Ford Electric Lightning😁

Yep, I couldn't care less how quick my Ram 3500 is, but do like that it'll pull some 25,000 lbs. (in addition to its own 9,500 lb. weight) in the Rockies.

That'd be a very slow ascent with a gas engine, and iffy going downhill without an exhaust brake.
Electric? Maybe. If there was a charging station at each summit, and I had lots of time to spare.

My 2500 runs and drives 100% better than my 1500 in everyday driving.

Yes for damn sure and its because it drives like a truck and not an SUV. This is one reason I sold my fully loaded Ram 1500 Limited 2019 Model. It did not give me that truck like feel being it drove to damn soft and nice😳.

You got the wrong 1500 then. My 1500 is quite quick.

But I sure wouldn't want to tow with it. Or load more than maybe 200 lbs. in it. To me, a 1500 is a car with a little bed in the back.

It was set up to tow 12,000 lbs from the factory. 3.92 gears and the electric motor boost on it. It was quick but it just didn't have what I needed.

And that's the part I really don't like. A J2807 rating of 12,000 lbs. for a 1/2-ton is nuts, I think.

But not as nuts as those who believe the salesman, don't look at the parts and pieces underneath, and then tow 12K. How long will the 1500 last? How will it handle with that much in tow?

Unfortunately, J2807 puts too much emphasis on acceleration, and nowhere near enough on longevity and safety, it seems.

Actually Ram rated it for 10,800 lbs. No way would it survive a 1,000+ mile trip pulling my enclosed trailer. It was fine with the open trailer though.

I will stick to my H/C truck. Doesn't do towing, pay loads, or mountains. It does just fine in the garage. And a new battery.

One of those chain auto parts store. Advanced or O'Reilly.
