I’ve always had the want to connect the front of the fuel rails together for more even pressure at all the injectors, I may end up doing this with these 2 fittings and make a drain connection point at one. NICE find @Speedy!

Take a look at these caps. There shouldn’t be any orings in them to worry about, they seal on the tapered flare. My only worry with welding a flared fitting to one of the end caps would be getting it so hot you melt the brazing that holds the cap on the end of the tube And the cap falls off while your welding with the fitting in it. I like your idea of having some way to drain your fuel easily but I don’t know how I would do it yet at the moment myself short of disconnecting the fuel line from the fuel rail which makes a little bit of a mess I agree. The material the is Cap made out of is too thin to successfully thread

what's the link to this Amazon doesn't have them

Man they have everything but their order process is terrible. No idea what it's gonna charge me, said "tax and shipping to be determined". Probably charge me $20 for shipping for a $7 part :/

Thanks! I'm looking at welding a -6AN bung on the end of the driver side rail to make fuel changes easy peasy. Was curious what kinda material it would require.
I got a guy....

I ordered the fittings from Amazon I can order the caps from McMaster through work and not pay any freight so if you didn’t order them yet or can cancel them hold off and I could just piggyback them with my order and send them to you in a USPS envelope. Let me know

I hate McMaster Carr shipping, not only is it usually pretty expensive, but not knowing what it is until afterwards just annoys the shit out of me.

I complained to my account Rep not too long ago. I told her it's the 21st century. Shipping costs shouldn't be a mystery anymore.

Sorry, rant over...

Thanks, I ordered everything already. If shipping is stupid I'll call them and raise hell.

My thoughts on this is weld a AN male to the end of each rail front, run a -6 line from the P/S rail front to the D/S rail front to a T on that side with 1 of the T ports capped as the drain. That way both rails get purged completely and the injector feed is a big circle which should put even pressure at each injector and a future return port for fuel system upgrades down the road, ie a return style fuel system with a regulator in the tank return line.

Took a look at the spare fuel rails I have tonight. I bet simply cutting the end off will be the best past forward rather than trying to heat up the brazing to remove the cap. Pipe cutter here I come. I think I'll open up the ports for the input and drive side cross over while I'm at it thanks to the idea a guy on here gave me :)

That is my plan, to just cut the caps off. My thought is cut the tube back to where rail with AN fittings and caps isn’t any longer then the stock rails where so stock plastic covers can still be used. Drilling the inlet tubes and injector feed bungs would be a perfect time to do such with the end caps off as that way one doesn’t have to pump air into them while drilling to keep the chips out, the rails can be drilled and completely cleaned before welding the AN fittings on. I still plan on putting a AN fitting on each rail and connecting them together with a -6 cross over hose and T on end of drivers side rail for use as the drain connection. I’ll post pictures once it’s all done.

I was thinking a step drill bit with some grease on it to catch shavings, then wash the fuel rail out real well before welding.

The -6AN stainless fittings came yesterday. Perfect fit and no worries about clearing the plastic covers that I saw in my test fit. You will have to be mindful of how you place the fitting and perhaps offset it 2mm or so toward the outside of the car to avoid contact with the supercharger.

Speedy, I'm sure you'll do this anyway, but vid up what you run into as you finish this installation out.

With the end of the rail off washing out any drill fillings will be easy to do before welding the AN flair fitting on. I plan on using this T on the drivers side to connect the cross over hose from the passenger side too and cap the straight through fitting for use as the drain port. Set up this way fuel pressure at every injector has to be pretty even and when purging of fuel both rails get emptied of old and filled with new fuel type instantly, no wondering if there’s a mix in the drivers side line or not and how long it takes to purge it all out driving. I don’t think it would be good having E85 in one rail and 93 in the other!!

Probably overkill but so is 800rwhp on the street so is what it is LOL. With wide bands in each bank the limited fuel in a rail after draining wouldn't be a problem, and the pressure, or lack there of, with fuel flowing out of the system would drain either rail should one be tapped I think.
