A friend with a fox body does drag week. He pulls a tiny trailer and they did not work he went back to wilwood. Said he doesn’t see how they would work on our cars
Very interesting 🤨. I saw that they now have a heavy duty version for the “Modern Muscle” cars. Kinda thinking that if Motion Raceworks makes or sells it.. it’s the cats pajamas. I have the very light Strange drag brakes and personally I’ve been impressed with how they’ve hauled my car down a couple times when called on. First time out with them on a 1/8 mile with short shutdown, I had the chute not deploy at 137 mph. I was on those brakes as hard as it would go and those damn things did the job. My car is 4100 lbs. 71609D5D-39B5-43D3-81ED-E130B43E1677.jpeg A3046625-14B0-44F8-8103-A072EA3C018A.jpeg

Do you know what his car weighed?
Don't know our scale is from the 60's and only works when an event requires it.
The car is gutted so pretty light for what it is.

At the end of the day we are putting smaller brakes on to go faster. They will never perform like our stock brembos. They have one job. To go fast and that they do well. I keep cracking rotors on wilwoods it’s a good time

A word to all the dragster wannabes thinking about lighting up your car. TBM has light weight brakes for Hellcats. I know you look at them and question if they’re going to stop. 6.3 @ 225 mph with a chute failure. That’s not red paint on those rotors 😳. Somehow these got it stopped and did not damage them (according to him). He continued to go rounds and won. Not too sure your Wilwoods would come back from that.

It's a badass car. I've seen it around and a bunch of events.

I'm not sure but they might be from north Florida.

I got a guy with a mustang that says you have a slow as street car. His name is Boost 12. He will let off at the 1/8 on a no prep small tire still go 7.0. Not 7.5-7.2 but 7.0.
4600 LB street car? I bet not. sure sounds more like a typical race car guy.

I have these on my Turbo S197 as well. Has a Forced Induction 91mm on it. Brett Lasala built my 6r80 in my Mustang. I will say they definately are not street worthy lol I thought I would be kool and put these on my street car lol that was a really dumb idea. They came off and put some Bear street brakes front and rear.

Real street has that thing dialed in for sure. I really dont see how these could work on a Hellcat being so heavy tho.

mine too, I was being nice because it was a mustake. :ROFLMAO: we know they come stock 3800 lbs, so already lightweight. then most gut them beyond recognition.

S197's come is at 3600 lbs. S550's come in at 3800. Mine isnt gutted at all and weghs 3400 lbs. Did some lightweight stuff but nothing too dramatic. Thing is flipping fast tho..... I eat 1000 RR street bikes for breakfast lol.

man being that light does so much for those cars. It would be unfair for a hellcat to weigh 3500 lbs. lol

How much did the Scavenger 1320 guy take out of his 1320 Challenger? He ran a 10.0 with a stock tune in Texas.

no clue, I just cant bring myself to cut my car up. maybe if I get an R title deal I would make a dedicated car and shoot for 3200 lbs.

He didn't cut it up. Claimed that he could put it all back together.
