BTW, that Dyno rig was almost 250,000$, the truck 100k, and 50,000 of support equipment. Guy says it’ll pay for itself in a year, college paid him $1000 for the day. I can’t see a year unless he’s attending shows daily. The Mustang dyno rep was headed to Ohio tonight and he said Cairo Egypt afterwards to teach a college how to use a dyno they bought 8 years ago because the professor who knew how quit, 12,000$ 2 day service call. The guy is on the road constantly. Not for me!!

Wow ! Not safe. Glad you made the right call!! Yes that super stock makes 200 hp more than that. As soon as you told me that I knew something wasn’t right.

Damn, you’d think for liability issues alone these dudes would have their shit together. Think if that WRX would’ve jumped off and injured or even killed someone. 😳 Glad you didn’t screw your car up👍
You sign a liability waiver, God only knows who and how many would be the ones getting sued by the families of any one hurt, I’m sure the car owner would be at the top of the list. I just wasn’t up to that, I said earlier in the day “these guys are going to get someone killed before the summer is over”. Hopefully they learned something today, that sticks!!

Agree, I didn’t even play on the way home, need to inspect my DS first. If it would have been a CF one it would be junk now most Likely. I think it was a yoke bump bump bumping my exhaust, and they wanted me to run it any ways!! 🤦🏼‍♂️

It was but it lasted 8 hours. I just don’t know how someone with obviously little experience with Dyno’s lays out 400k and gets into a remote Dyno business??🤷🏻‍♂️

This dyno supposedly is only 1 of 2 in the US. Super sophisticated capable of simulating a 1/4 Mile pass even. Would be neat to try but I think it’s going to take a 20k training course to learn how to use it. I can hand anyone an electrical meter, micrometer, etc but that won’t make them an electrician or machinest just because they have the tools in hand

I just had to know, first things first this morning lol
Was what I thought, exhaust rubbing the DS. A little rub on the muffler and polished the bump on the weld a bit. All good for a run later today :)

Who needs dyno numbers when they have a test bridge 1/2 mile from home lol
These Conti tires are working better and better as the roads are warming up!! Maybe a 4.99 60-130 is in her future!! A No Lift Shift would get me there!! 🤔

I'm having the same problem....that or either the rear axle causing problems. But I measured the rear cradle against the fenders drivers side with 4' level center of wheel the fender is level touching the fender the passenger side it's 1.5 inch's away.

Me as well but unfortunately no. I’ve been working allot of OT of late being I’m a hourly guy atm, such will abate as it gets hotter out as I don’t like the heat, getting it in while I can.

Sounds like you may have an alignment problem.

I think I am also...I'm getting vibration when I get to around 120 I have let off it's so bad. I had the car 4wheel lined and it was at our local tire store so he didnt even check the cradle alignment and also had the wheel's load force balanced shake still there. I put it up on jack stand and got under the car and you can see the driveshaft coming from the tranny when it gets to the diff it's at a slight angle it's 4" driveshop alum. you can tell it's a closer to the passenger side of the driveshaft tunnel hump. But when my grandson got it the car cranked it up put it in manual I layed down beside the car and just listened and I could hear a sight sound coming from the axle on the passenger side axle or diff one.

I'm thinking about going to a redeye stock driveshaft....but I just dont think it's my driveshaft like you I think at a alignment problem. but you dont have any fixed place's to measure from to find out. Just the one at the torsion bar and that for fore/aft. measurement.

You can take the driveshaft off, clock if, and put it back on and see. How bad is the vibration? If it’s 120 on the track probably not a big deal. No one is going to check cradle alignment, not even the dealer. You need a frame shop to do that. Driveshaft is always going to be closer to the one side, that’s how the angle is. What torsion bar? This isn’t 1968 lol

i know what you mean I trap 142. DSS tests the druveshafts at 9k rpm, that doesn’t mean they balance them to that. You have to think what the RPM of the driveshaft is when you’re going 120mph. Idk, I’ve had issues with them, others have. Redeye driveshaft I have up to 142 no problem, my front and rear cradles have both been dropped a few times, I just had entire rear suspension apart to do hub bearings and torqued everything in the air not on the ground, never got alignment nothing and car is straight and smooth as butter to 142 in the 1/4.
