Stock Fuel Rails, why they don’t keep up

Lots of progress! I'm very surprised on the bolts hitting the pan. How much clearance did it take?

It’s a 300F rated magnet, I’ve used this brand before, they hold up excellently in hot oil. If you get one and it looses its pull I’ll give you your money back how’s that?? 😉

About 1/8” right at the top of the pan rail right in front of where the 2 rear bolts are. I would’ve taken a picture but my phone was dead and I was dirty tired pissed off hungry and just wanted to get it back on LOL

Am I the only one NOT impressed with our cast-aluminum oil pan??

Does anybody have any experience in reworking/finishing/polishing cast-aluminum into something that doesn't look like "poo"?

Actually I like it. My last cars had stamped steel pans. This is a huge upgrade but until you take the belly pan off you can't enjoy it

BTW, I had a 6.1 stroker motor built probably 10 years ago by BES Racing. Beautiful engine and I had a beautiful aluminum sheet metal pan made for me by MOROSO. Metal art work it was. Anyway, BES put ARP studs in the bottom end for me and when I got the engine back and onto my stand, I tried to fit the custom pan on it. Moroso uses a real beefy CNC machined pan rail and it wouldn't clear the studs at the back. I forget exactly what part of the studs, likely the nut and washer. I ended up clearancing the thing with two nice, half round notches in the rail and all was well. Really thought it was just a problem with the rails used in the Moroso pan. Really surprised to hear a stock pan won't clear either. Good to know for future builds, if I ever do one again.

I was kind of relieved to see that you ran into a snag and snapped a bolt… It felt like 18 pages of perfection was enough, and that Murphy was due to introduce himself and his law at anytime. I’m sorry that the two of you met, but now you can move on and the car will fire right up.

The oil pan the Redeye engine I put in is polished and has a Hellcat logo embossed in it. I was surprised to see that.

Engines ready for blower, dial the bell in then be ready for trans, maybe make start up for my B day!! Pumped 2 qts of oil in it through the filter until it poured out the top, rotated it over about 2 revolutions while it had 10 psi of oil pressure.

The Misimoto T stat started opening at 180 and by 190 fully opened, on the cool down side was fully closed at 179, pretty impressive, used it.

That's why I spent $50 on the Mishimoto instead of $18 on any brand X. They're accurate, reliable, and well made.

Ordering plugs and magnets today, patience my boy lol I’ve been busy!! Went to bed at 1am last night, 4:45 came around waaaayyyy to fast lol. My finger tips are so sore typing is tough, I think I should go home sick lol I got real work to do!!
