Just heard on BJ that they are talking about making the protector pink, to get people to remove them.
Supposed quote from head of SRT......

Supposed actual quote, according to Mike Joy at BJ, about 30 minutes ago.

More damage? The splitter is in plain talk made of thin crappy plastic, what damage could a protector do to it? discolor it, maybe cause some rubbing with it on ? At the end of the day, if the protector damages the splitter, then you are back to replacing it. With or without it, it will have to replaced in the future (if the protector does damage it and assuming you care).

Anyone here with a hellcat/Demo/RE that has some miles on it that does not have road rash on the splitter? If some here can drive the car for thousands of miles and not have a chewed up splitter, then I agree there is no need. My experience greatly differs, then again, I don't baby my cars.
the bottom is gonna get scuffed anyway, dealer said they have a sharp lip pulling the car's into the showroom so the splitter rubbed and when customers take it off they find scuffs and yellow residue (if the car sat in the showroom for a while)

just my experience, splitters, curb rash, tires, brakes, etc. etc. comes with the territory of owning a fast car with low profiles and tracking it or dragging it Operating costs imo, but some people love to complain.

Ok, that is why I leave the protector on. Some here want to hate on leaving it on, and here we are. No desire to have the curb rash when it can be avoided.

This reminds of the Demon hate, yes, there is something better just around the corner, NOT.

Someone took the splitter guard off this thread. I can’t believe it has 68posts and counting.

Posting a photo of my Demon with the splitter did it, there is some Demon hate slowly showing its face

yep, had a waiting line. Give it 5 more years, those with the protectors will be worth more, why? because you were not suppose to have them, period.

Yep, just wait, they are outlaw, what happens with that stuff, no part number, just increases the value. We can argue over whether it is needed or not, over aesthetics but at the end of the day, keep them on and be an outlaw, you will get paid for it.

No! I have two sets, but I'm sure as heck not going to sell them or give them to anyone.
With my luck someone would install them on their Challenger, and then I'll either see them in photos or in person.

Yes, $50 a set. I tossed mine in the trash then, after the truck ran, I looked on line and saw $50. The story of my life.

Now for you, as I posted before, you had the foresight to purchase more than one, awesome foresight edit, that is not what I would say but trying to self regulate here

And there's reason number 84 to take them off and keep them pristine.
You'll wear yours (and the splitter) out, then what?

I have no idea why we are doing this, keep them on, take them off, burn them, put them in your bed, whatever, it does not matter, just enjoy your ride, life is short, carpe diem.

I rarely tell members they are barking up the wrong tree (well if it comes to performance, I will) but for this? There are guys running curb feelers, any outcry? FCA says something and it appears to be herd mentality.

FCA specified that Demon owners use hellcat wheels for the street package, where is the outrage? Why would a Demon buyer want to use Hellcat wheels on the street? They were $ 3,500.00 or so and back ordered for months. This is FCA.
