Well the car is “done”, other than an alignment, so it is just a matter of waiting for the good weather to hopefully show up in a couple of months.
In the meantime I decided to go ahead with a mezzanine project I have wanted to do since we moved here about 2 1/2 years ago. We live in a barndominium style home that was built in 2020 and although it was framed in during construction, there wasn’t an entrance to the shop from the second floor, which is our main living area, so I decided to go ahead and finish it.
So although this isn’t a post about the car it is the car’s place.

Thanks
The rocking chair was a leftover from my mother when she moved into a retirement home. I actually put it on the curb a few weeks ago after moving it around my shop for 2 1/2 years and it was gone in about 10 minutes, so some old fart probably has it on their porch now. lol

The weather was nice yesterday so I put the collision insurance back on the car and took it for a test drive . It was the first time I had driven the car since the modifications and I have to admit I was a little nervous, but I wanted to see how it drove before it went in for an alignment. Thankfully everything seemed fine and it drove very well.
The only “issue” I found was the differential had a slight whine on de-acceleration. I did a google search and reports varied but apparently it wasn’t uncommon for people to notice this with the Detroit Truetrac. I will get the technician to look at it when he does the alignment and decide if it needs better adjustment/alignment of the gears.
Other than that it seems like everything is ok for now and I should be good for testing at the track May 9th.
Unfortunately Mother Nature is up to her old tricks and we got snow again last night !

If someone could provide a link or direct me to a post with alignment specs I would appreciate it.
Thanks
