That’s not a ‘66-67 Charger dash.

That’s not a ‘66-67 Charger dash.
It wasn’t that dash, but it used that technology.

The 1966 Dodge Charger's instrument panel uses electroluminescent lighting, which operates on a high-voltage alternating current (250 volts AC at 250 Hertz) converted from the car's 12V DC system. This system creates a soft, uniform glow for the gauges without the use of traditional light bulbs.

About 1975 or so, I didn't have a car and I drove my father's (dealership) '66 Charger 318 white w/red interior. When the Charger first came out I thought it was the coolest car ever.

But by the mid '70's well after the 2nd gen Chargers then Challengers, the '66 was an ugly duckling, I was embarassed to drive it, but it was better than walking.

I have many great memories with that car, but not a one about the instrument cluster... Guess it wasn't that impressive... Sorry...

Definitely not as good looking as ‘68-‘70, but I still think they look great.

I remember walking into a Dodge showroom in late 67. I didn't know about the 68 Charger. They had a black one, I stopped, and did a double take with my jaw hanging. To this day I agree, it is the best looking car ever.
Until then, a 61 Pontiac Catalina or Ventura were my favorites.
