Back when I had the engine built for Orange Krush Arrington was the go to place for a good powerful reliable engine. The one in Orange Krush is still going strong as far as I know and Crew Chief Greg's Arrington 392 is still doing great.

I know the original Arrington in Martinsville, VA packed up shop and some place in Michigan(?) got their equipment. Why don't we hear of anyone running one of their engines anymore? Anybody know?

A ton of people used to run their engines, now I don't know of any.

I heard they went down hill and there was a lot of complaints before they sold the name to the guys in Michigan.

@Speedy The Arrington web-site is the same one with updates added.

Mike Copeland who owns Diversified Creations
bought Arrington for more diversity.
This is a good article to read.

Remember Arrington was the Top Sponsor for the MSHS race series. Hemirace.com
They were on the forums Challengertalk, MMF, LX , Jeep forum as well as the MSHS racers.
It was good advertisement that sold a lot of engines.

I'll bet they have their niche out in MI which keeps them very busy.

I may have died a few times butt you can't get rid of me that easily. Lukin at moe knives and lettin my Bro whaaaat he is going to be in he is groin to be in hair en taing from me. He ain't got a clue. Why I have kept all receits for knives, guns, and car. He has no idea what that H/C is worth. He will have to figure it out.

Speedy this is a 2009 with an (original) Arrington 7.0L (6.1 based) engine. AJ was there at that time and did the tune. The engine has maybe 9000 miles on it and 24K miles total. I currently have all but 1 part to convert it from a Nag1 to an 8HP70 8 speed with the 2020 Scat pack 1320 converter. We'll see what happens. . .

:mad:And I am one that has so many complaints about the old Arrington in Virginia about my build on my 09 SRT Challenger with them that I would rather forget them all. I'll give you a few of the problems.

How about 20 thou smaller pistons then the bore installed in the 426 all aluminum engine they built for me along with about a dozen other major issues that were found in the engine and on my car when it was returned to me. Found this out when there was a excessive amount of aluminum found in the oil analyses and had the engine pulled apart. The aluminum in the oil was from the pistons themselves. Plus it was not built with the crankshaft or the Carrillo rods that it was suppose to have in it that I paid for, instead it had much cheaper and lower quality units put into it. I could go on and on but I get pissed thinking about my experience with Arrington that this is all I will mention about that build.

This all happened between the time that AJ had left them already and went on his own and days before they got bought out. I now do business with AJ, (Hemituner), exclusively and have no regrets as he has been just great with me.:)(y)

I may have missed that one. This was a 426 Stroker with a roots blower into a Dart that they were building on MuscleCar.
