Agreed, plus that ds is a pita. I needed a crows foot. Proper torque was a guesstimate at best. DIRS much easier install.
an much better!

Not the first ones. They had another flat piece that came down on the driver side.
That looks like the second version. I'm still using the one I got from the first batch.

@Hunter do you have any gap at all?
I may have some 1/16 or 1/8 rubber from mats we used to put under giant rolls of paper in the trailers to keep them from sliding. If you think it can help I could send you a piece. I would just have to find it. LOL
The first video of speedys I posted has the flat piece, I thought that was the 2nd version?

You are correct I responded out of order.
🤷😴
Oops.. I was referring to the 1st video as being for the second version. Hunter's and the second video look like the HD version that came after that.
What do I know I have one of the first 25.
Hmm.. collectors item maybe.🤔😅🤣

The rear is bolted to the cradle so it doesn't move no matter how you jack the car up
But if you jack it up by the diff center section it will move upward on the cradle because you are compressing the bushings that hold the diff in the cradle.

That was it in ‘19. I had to grind the welds on my Redeye, thanks for the reminder. Not a big deal at all, I even painted the grinds. The LX rear cradle has not changed in over 10 years. They may have hired a new welder that was all.
The cradle changed in 2015 when the new diff came out. They have 2 bushings that hold the diff at the front verses 1 for 2014 and older. The Demon has its own unique cradle from the rest because they have a different alignment spec for the rear of them to have the tires more flat for traction instead of cambered for handling. That way they were able to keep using the same control arms on all models.

The cradle item itself is physically different, or is the lower knuckle different?

No, the cradle is different part # while the knuckles are the same and so are the control arms.

Interesting, the lower knuckle IS in fact different for camber control. They did that so the control arms ARE the same. So that means the Demon like all LX platforms have the same non-adjustable control arms that we all replace with AAD parts to achieve a flat camber. The Demon achieves a flat or potentially small positive camber by substituting the bottom knuckle.

The parts people cannot find any different cradle assemblies looking at the “option codes” they tell me. Do you have a part number off your “Demon cradle”?

Here is the Cradle part #'s for 2018 since that is when the Demon came out.

All LX-LC non Hellcat/Demon...........68339965AA.
All Hellcats........................................68339962AA.
Demon only.......................................68339971AA.
These are all different because of the different alignment spec between the different models.

As far as the Knuckles go, the reason why the Hellcat and Demon part #'s are different is not that the Knuckle is different, which they are not, it is because the knuckles are sold as an assembly which includes the lower tension arm bushing and the Demons came with a higher durometer bushing vs the Hellcats.

Hope this helps to explain what you found out.
I can get good help with info as I am blessed with having to know directly & indirectly several of the people in FCA and also many who were part of the SRT department which is now being changed.
