We did drive a good section of it. We drove down in to somewhere? (turned right leaving the Dodge display) until it started feeling like I needed to pull my toy outta the back pack and wave it around to keep from getting car jacked. We turned around at that point and it was bumper to bumper.

What I also found interesting is that in a 5 mile stretch or so of Woodward you go from a pretty nice part of town with people in Polo shirts and leather shoes with no socks to what I'll call a less nice part of town.

On the lights, I've had more than one person tell me that it's hard to get better than a .2xx or .3xx on a pro tree in these cars with stock electronics. The throttle movement, throttle by wire, etc all eat up time to the car moving. The Jeep I raced had a two step or trans brake, not sure which. You can hear it in the video though.
Turning right you went north or south? South is where it would get busy, you would have been crawling for a few miles before hitting 696

I have been .09 on .400 tree but most of the time it seems I'm .200-.350

I also heard about the drive by wire thing being slow. I wonder if a pedal commander would help, it should

That was the running joke "pedal commander" lol. No it won't help. All it does is raise the voltage threshold on the throttle. A two step would help I think?

I've "guessed" a time or two and gotten a .0xx RT but it was a complete guess. If I legit do my thing on the tree it's .2xx - .3xx.

I've been searching for a solution for a few years now. I really think that a line lock would work for just off idle launches but nobody knows or wants to install one because of the electronics.

Isn’t the launch control same as line lock?

No. Need something that won't turn on "Street traction".

How about an extra solenoid that's operated by a toggle switch?

That essentially what a line lock is. Everyone is afraid that the braking system will detect problems and go berserk.

@Speedy!
Just was watching your video of the new stuff.

Anyone know anything about the interesting mounts between the strut towers and the cross brace in this pic from Speedy’s video?

How far back do those bolts need to go to find a structural member behind the light cross brace?

I looked at my car, another interesting question is what it may take to get them attached to the strut area as shown!
