I did and understand where you’re coming from, they wouldn’t do what you wanted and even then reaction time is a bust. But pedal sensitivity can be handled in the tune. I think having it (since it sounds like I can get it working how I want it) would work and remove some of the guess work of when the car is going to go after I mash it
Jon worked on the pedal. It didn't change the reality of the situation. Car wasn't competitive in big event index racing unless some serious changes were made like a race transmission, etc.

But you should see the evo guys. They 60’ 1.8 and trap 170, go 9.0. Add more power and figure out your class, if you will

They would not dial in a lower launch rpm or change it from brake pedal control to a switch. End of story for me. I'm done racing anyway.
You need a trailer?

I messed around with one for a short while before I swapped to a th400.

It was fun, I want to go back to playing with it on an a8 again.

Here’s me messing around with it at tx2k last year.

Did it make launching more consistent for you? I know it’ll take some playing around with it to get it dialed in, but curious if it helped

I only got to use it a few times.

Had it in my Trackhawk. Found that smashing the pedal was more effective. I dont even build boost any longer. If one gets the throttle accelerator the second u move that throttle even a milimeter its WOT.

I just found that I was quicker that way.....

My opinion is unless you are racing in a class using a Pro Tree…. there’s no benefit. The main advantage of the 2-Step is reaction time. Even if you can get the thing to work at a low rpm… how’s that really going to work from a performance standpoint. You’ve got your engine banging away selectively not firing cylinders and when you release, it’s supposed to go to WOT instantly and like that? I can also tell you (because I use one) launching off a 2-step hits the tire harder than flashing the converter off a foot brake and will be more likely to spin the tires. Unless you’ve got the track and driveline to take it, you’re not doing yourself any good.

Ive used both the AMS 1000 and 2000 and the 2000 is just the best BC u can get its just awesome! Had it on my Turbo Hayabusa....

The best thing ive found with the AMS 2000 or 1000 is the (5) selector switch to change maps. Freaking awesome if u dont have a stand alone.

The ams 2000 is pretty pricy.

Exactly this, with he A8 you're not going to see any improvement over foot braking until someone comes up with a functional trans brake for the A8, or you switch to a TH400 or power glide.

That plus another thing. I was told back when I first got the 400 with the transbrake, that I would be increasing the risk of driveline failure. I said yea but! I had a DSS 9” conversion with their 35 spline axles. I was told…. Nope. They will still break so I never used it until I went to the setup I have now. Strange 40 spline straight axles (no CV). I don’t know if that advice was true. I took it to just be on the safe side.

I've seen quite a few with the TH400 swaps and still using the billet IRS center with DSS axles not killing them too badly. I think you're at a much different level than most though.

Thats what I was wondering if it can be wired to the steering wheel with a button or does it have to be hooked up to the brake? Anyone try this just seems like I could do it faster releasing a button then releasing the foot pedal but maybe not..... Anyone try this?

For the A8 they tell you to run it off a small switch, I don’t see why you couldn’t extend the wires and mount to a nice momentary switch on the steering wheel. I also have 5 different tunes that vary only for the first 60’. I’m sure you could get this to work with the right tuning

I put mine next to the shifter on a button.
