I am working on the car now and could use an answer right away. I am removing the CDV, everyone caps the clutch line but no one tells me what to use to cap it. I can't measure it until it is disconnected and dripping. Any suggestions?

Black rubber vacuum plug from your local hardware store is usually the best bet

I think I just pulled the line upwards and let it drip so ever so slighty while I removed the line CDV. When done, pump the clutch 20 times and it’ll remove any air in the line.

DONE! Thanks guys.

Pulling the CDV was a spurr of the moment thing, only hitch was no one in any of the videos I watched said what they used for a cap. BG was right on, I just wasted 20min going out for them. (That, and $9!!!) :ROFLMAO:

THANKS!!! BTW: How does a RE owner know these things?!?!? ;)
My hands weren’t always this clean. When I had more time I used to do a lot of wrenching. Hellcats are straightforward. Even was ASE certified in highschool, whatever that’s worth.

WOW! Most obvious difference is how much easier it is to start from stop in 1st!!! Since day 1, the car would bog when letting out the clutch, I always thought it was the fly-by-wire throttle lagging. Now I know what it really was! It was time delayed clutch engagement! STUPID!!!! I should have done this 4-3/4 years ago!!!!
