My wife cleared me for an intake but on the other forum there were so many posts about degradation of performance and heat that I don’t know what to do. I’d like to hear blower more and maybe get a few HP but am just unsure. I certainly don’t want hotter air nor do I want to lose HP.
That's where I'm at. I love the stock intake on my RE but I'm considering changing the intake on my '16 HC; however, the results seem mixed based on the feedback on the other forum threads. And there also seems to be a fairly even split between LMI, JLT, BWoody and others. If I do it, I'm leaning towards JLT.
On average what temp does the stock intake run above outside air temp? I never checked prior to purchasing my JLT. JLT runs an average 30 degrees above OAT one the car is at normal operating temperature.
I'm right there with you about max volume...my thought is the tiny tube from from is inadequate. I am working with some engineers here to figure out what can be done without compromising function, ie...to keep contaminants, water, etc out while still providing flow.

Yes it is a 2015-2016 LMI intake . I blocked off the MAF port and adapted the 2017 and up IAT sensor. It's also in a JLT air box . I'm still working on completely sealing it to the hood .
Since using the JLT on my '15, I always wondered if the more nicely constructed CF tube of the LMI would fit with my JLT air box. Guess so then. Nice work Hpindy.
