This is what happens when you let the dealership do your stage work! Do you think the tech will fess up to it? 77965753901__4A7F3F74-75D8-4730-B4E7-18E7435C8D7F.jpeg 77965752805__E69CD795-273E-4FB9-AF81-62E37F8659FF.jpeg

Exactly why I do absolutely everything I can possibly do, myself. Saving $ is secondary.

Same logic: I usually buy new and keep forever, and do my own maintenance, that way you know everything about what has been done. Last 3 were over 150k when I sold and I got premium price for them!

Does the factory recommend replacing the brake discs with carbon discs? After driving 20,000 kilometers, I noticed grooves on the brake discs, the brake pads are almost worn out, and the wheels are covered in dust. :giggle:

Power Stop pads my friend, and brake dust is 10% of what it used to be. @BULL for carbon disc info...... Think he had a prototype set on his car?

If you can, post up a picture of your rotors. And if you have access to a set of calipers and can measure the rotor thickness, that would help as well. They start out at ~34mm thick and the minimum thickness is 32mm.

Very useful information. I will try to measure the brake disc thickness when replacing the brake pads. Thank you very much. Good night~:giggle:

If you go with the Power Stop pads be sure to follow the bed in procedure to the letter. The brakes will feel very weak at first, but if you follow the procedure, you will be very happy with your new brake job!

Regarding the bed in procedure, I had a truck behind me when I was trying to bed them in. Started riding my a$ so I hung the box out the window and yelled i'm bedding in the brakes!! Saw him laugh and then he dropped back and let me continue
