The current Challenger platform is scheduled through 2024 I believe.

And the Gen 5 Ram 3500/2500 was supposed to be available a year or two ago. Things change.
Although, even if the current Challenger will stay until '24, that doesn't mean it would even have a V8 by then.

So I started my official hunt for a TRX. Once I find what I want I’m putting a deposit down.

In Texas I found 10k over.

In Arizona I found one dealer at MSRP. Which is a good sign. Order in may get in august. I don’t mind waiting.

I have just begun the search. I’ve got inquiries out to 50 dealers!! My phone was blowing up all night. I’ll be hustling more in the next 2-3 days. I should have something down.

I’m looking for under MSRP now. I’m gonna go for 5k under. I’ll settle for 1-2k under. If I’m totally skunked I’ll settle for MSRP. But that’s the limit.

Under MSRP??...yikes...good luck..my guess is yer gonna find Jimmie Hoffa first...

The current Challenger platform is scheduled through 2024 I believe. I think 2024 may be the last year we see the current Hellcat Power Plant offered. 2022 seems like a good year for the TRX. Plus there have been some scary QC issues on the TRX forum that I want to see cleared up before I buy one.

What is the final color?

went with Red. It looked so fucking good in the pics. Once I saw the blue in person on a rebel. It lightened up to much in the sun. I like the darker shade when it’s not bright out. But the contrast in color just kinda got to me.

I think they will continue to make these beasts as long as allowed. Not a one year wonder. But then I was wrong before! I am actually thinking of passing on my TRX when it arrives next week as my 392 Wrangler is supposed to ship in early April. Makes little sense to me, to have 160k worth of toys in the garage, even though I can afford to do so. Decisions, decisions...

I agree, especially since you won't be driving them. That's a lot of coin for garage art.

You know me too well! I will drive the jeep, but truck...um probably not so much. To many toys, not enough decent weather on the tundra. I just can't bring myself to sacrifice a 90k truck to the salt gods of winter!! Yeah, I am a bit odd that way...

Made it to KZ a couple of days ago, after a 2-23 build date.
Only three weeks "in jail" is much better than it could've been. Now it remains to be seen if it actually gets shipped at some point.

KZ means that it's about ready to get on a train. Maybe already on one, but I don't have the extra letter(s) after KZ yet, so I don't really know.
I should be able to pull up the window sticker now, and will try that this evening.

My next truck is going to have a Supercharged V8. I’m fairly confident it will be a 2022 TRX. If Ram shits the bed I’ll upgrade to a Raptor R rolling on 37” tires and the 5.0L Supercharged V8.
