Sounds to me...like someone with an axe to grind...he's not done with the auto industry...and generally if you retire from a lofty position..such as his..there is a non compete clause attached to your departure..usually 1 year or more...that precludes you from working for a competitor...if your let go...there are no such restraints...I'm tellin ya folks Timmy got booted..

There was talk a few months back about that getting dropped. I didn't hear if it did or is still in court. A supplier was talking about it.

Depending on the jurisdiction...(and the language)...it sometimes is very difficult to enforce those agreements...in NYS..it's almost impossible...

I would imagine Tim would fall under the heading of "senior executive"

I would have to agree.....my guess is the decision to kick him to the curb was made some time ago...they knew he was not going to be part of their agenda moving foreword...

Not me. The '04 TJ is looking pretty bad from rust. The wife loves it but I convinced her we need to sell it end of summer. At this point in my life I don't want to spend more time fixing and patching rust problems than regular maintenance. At times like this I envy the guys in the south. I have no idea what to replace it with.

Not totally sure what a TJ is but if you are looking at trucks I would consider checking out the new line of Toyotas, looks like that new Land Cruiser will be a decent value. I am just seeing my first few Lexus GX 550s too and I think they are interesting

TJ = Jeep Wrangler

CJ, WK, ever hear of those? Jeeps as well. It’s like an LX is a Charger, LC is Challenger. Those went to LD and LA respectively after the first gen.

Honestly I think the first crack in the armor was when Tim Kuniskis called out Tavares being directly responsible for the brands dropping Hemi's. Very suspicious it was almost 90 days ago this happened and now Tim "retires." I've heard some stories about Tavares from employees and once I saw this article I was like something is up if Kuniskis said this in public.
