Agree. I actually have fun there (about 170 laps at RA)! With Cup 2R rear tires warm etc. going up the hill to #6 can be a second or two at WOT, before you have to nail your brakes at the top of the hill again. The RE is so loud and wonderful without the Cats running about 95 octane appropriately too.

I do know a Challenger driver that had near total brake failure right there and thankfully was able to bail out at the run out without consequence.

I never begin a weekend there unless all four brake pads corners are brand new.

I have no problem taking that turn at a reasonable speed and waving at the volunteer on the corner with each pass by.

What else can go wrong down there? Oh, engine failure at turn 4? Try a Redeye with a converter that may be torn up….

The Ostoff is my preferred place to stay. Siebkens is fine, too. Tough to get in though. Love the bar shaped like the track.

Like the wannabe Mario Andretti's at The 'Ring. Constant crashes by people that get over their heads.

Most people don't have experience racing and just don't understand that street cars aren't race cars. It's real easy to get over their heads real fast.

Luckily, no one got hurt this time.

PS: No offense to Mario, a truly great driver who could drive anything.

Agree, only have stayed there even if it is a bit $$$, but the location and facility is worth it.
