Pulled the trigger on a C8 Z06

Sometime this week I wanna try to run a data log on it to see what all's going on in the tuning. I don't plan to modify it, but just wanna know to know, ya know?

12.5:1 compression, manual says 91 octane minimum except for track duty in which case 93 is required.

These cars have a removable roof panel which is pretty cool. Previous owner got a GM transparent roof panel so there's two with the car, the standard one is body color. Transparent one is ridiculously expensive IMO and let's too much heat in the car from the sun for me. I'll have to see if my window tint guy can do something there.

Windows are already tinted and car is ceramic coated, but oddly no PPF on the front. I'm gonna look in to doing that.

Standard wheels are a matte titanium color. The black ones on the car are an optional upgrade. I wasn't sure how I'd like the black, but seeing them in person they look really good with the other accents.

Can't say I am a Corvette guy, but I have always loved the Corvette styling all the way back to the sixties, and the C8 was a huge jump (improvement) in my mind. The C8 always gets a second look from me when they go by - it's just a beautiful car.
Don't take it to mean anything, but I think I would go Viper if I ever went down the path of a super/sportscar, not because I have any delusions of the Viper being better, It's just a preference thing for me. The Viper is just different and it will always get that long third look as it disappears - lol.

... got a one owner low mile like new 2024 C8 Z06 for a screaming deal and it's freaking awesome ...

I saw a brand new Z06 a few weeks ago at a car show.
It was jet black, looked and sounded mean.
I hope you enjoy it for a long time to come.

Personally, I was looking for something that looks nasty, has tons of room, is pretty dang quick, and performs in all 4 seasons.

Never been much of a Vette fan, but these C8's are a whole different animal. Would have one in my garage if I was able to physically manage ingress/egress without the aid of an engine hoist . Like most supercars - us fat, old(er) southern boys need not apply
