Hey, we have rules!

No smoking within 12 hours of flying and no drinking within 50 feet of the aircraft...

Or something like that!

When is your next trip to Nellis? Stay safe up there.

Maybe I have that backwards.

All of the sudden all that "12 hour bottle to throttle" talk makes sense...Welp, I've made it this far!

Was supposed to be next week but now it's postponed until next month.

Maybe I have that backwards.

I can tell you firsthand the Nomex suits work, unless they are soaked with oil.

Then they flash over right along with anything else combustible. :(

Yup. I used to get into trouble all the time for my t shirts. Well not just the t shirts. We had music class and we were supposed to pick one song to play and dissect the lyrics in front of the class. I choose NIB by Black Sabbath let’s just say it didn’t go over to well. They called my dad at work and told him and when I got home he said that is a great song then grounded me.
We had a class like that in High School called "Music Appreciation". The teacher was a partier and he would have us do some sort of actual learning exercise the first 10-15 minutes of class and then he would let someone play music for the rest of class. There was a closet filled with albums of all sorts and you could pick whatever you wanted, or take requests.

Most of my friends took that class right away in 10th or 11th grade. I saved it for my senior year as an easy class with an easy credit. For some reason, I would get picked to play music a majority of the time, and even when the teacher would pick other people, they would give me their turn. You could bring in your albums from home too and play those in class, and most of the people would have me play them like I was the class dj or something. It was definitely a fun class to have in my sr. year.

We're talking 1982, so the standard school uniform for metal heads was a concert shirt, jeans, leather jacket.....and high tops. There were plenty of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden shirts to round out my uniform. Good times for sure.

Ok - here is 40 years ago - my first car, a 340 Cuda - not much to look at here but loved every moment in it (I still have it - just in many pieces):

and another in the Hellcat when we picked it up from the dealership (used from a Jaguar dealership - lol):

The top photo is great. You should get someone to photoshop in a grill for the Cuda, And then have that made into a poster. That is worthy of being a 70's Plymouth sales promo. Priceless.

My "bad teacher" story:

In 6th grade our teacher would take the whole class out to the far end of the field by the school to have "Field Days"/"parties". We would spike the punch and drink while she would roll her joints back by the trees.

This of course didn't last long, somebody told somebody and she was just "gone" one day.

I wonder what happened to her?

Some kept up the good work, so to speak.
She was 33, I was 18. Best teacher I ever had the pleasure to study under...and over.

Except for the ones the churches are getting sued for these days?

I've tried. But that was in Europe, so a bit easier said than done.
But it's a fairly safe bet that she's still a good looking slender blonde. It wasn't that long ago.
