Let’s say I haven’t been the most efficient at work this week reading, writing and watching this stuff. What I’ve noticed most of the forums have been negative comments, but YouTube and Instagram comments have appeared largely positive. I don’t do Facebook, so don’t know there.

My observation is that most forum users are on the older spectrum and actual owners or true potential owners whereas Instagram/YouTube are likely on the younger spectrum and less likely to be potential customers or even have the bread to buy one anyway. My guess is that Marketing research weighs FB/IG/YT responses more heavily than focused forums.
Ultimately cash talks…2024+ will be interesting.

Frankly, I don't care where they put that message. Too many empty promises, say what you mean, and mean what you say. Pretty simple concept, really.

This is correct in my observation. Saying companies are doing this bc of the epa or threats completely misreads how corporations work and are governed. Epa can (and did) drive technical investment but can't drive demand or make people buy cars, and is not set up to kill ICE. It was to drive better tech (and got it) just in time for a sea change in what most car buyers are.looking for. We can bitch and moan, (and I do) but we are a fringe element in the car buying market and while we have some pull still bc w are willing to pay premium prices for what we want, our time has crested and the real.money has.moved to other segments. And that is what this is about, pure and simple. If killing children would make you buy more cars, they'll kill children. It's a business, first last and in the middle. That's why I have no brand loyalty; they have none to you, why pay that back?

Heard it from RacerX who was told by Tim K. that this exhaust we seen and heard is actually a Direct Connect "aftermarket" exhaust.

Now I know you guys all want to rush out.to dealers and have that added to your HCs but I heard they're still working on some fitment issues....

Long term is a guess what will happen. I would expect oil companies doing everything they can to keep gas flowing at an affordable rate. They are not going to walk away. Not many years ago we were complaining of all the profits they had coming in

We are seeing evil money hungry people trying to destroy our lives to better themself. We are being forced to make choices. Don't know how this will work out but I'm going to try enjoy what I have now and live my life the best I can enjoying my car

Depends on the appliance er car.

Run of the mill econoboxes will go down and disappear within 20 years.
The halo cars will always be in demand.

Also, I have a feeling that once EV's hit a certain % of cars on the road, there will be legislation limiting their power. Right now, they need 1000hp cars to prove they are "faster" than the ICE cars to convince people to switch.

Once this bullshit chip shortage blows over and the ‘23s are available - actually available - the ‘22s and older should come back down to earth (for a little while). Hardcore ICE guys will find ICE cars and buy those. If Dodge doesn’t offer them, they will go somewhere else. When you can get an EV that performs like a Hellcat for the price that you used to get a Hellcat for ($55-65k), then the market will decide. Right now, the fun EVs are over $100k and the fun ICE cars are over $100k… and that isn’t sustainable for either market.
