I have been working with Milodon over the last month to develop a front sump oil pan for the 6.2 platform that will fix the oil pressure drop on the hit for the guys racing their cars/suvs. We tested the oil pan this past weekend and it worked great. No oil pressure loss from the hit through the complete 1/4 mile run and we had very little oil residue in the catch can. This pan kit will also include a windage tray that helps keep the oil from accumulating in the top end of the engine and allows it to flow back to the bottom of the pan, this will help keep the catch cans from filling up with oil. This oil pan kit has trap doors in the front sump to keep the oil contained around the pick-up and does not allow it to run to the back of the pan and cause drag on the crankshaft. They will hold 7qts of oil plus the how every much the filter holds and will use the stock dipstick.
There are trap doors in the sides of the front sump also so the pan can be used for road racing applications.
The oil pan kits will include oil pan, pick-up tube and o-ring, windage tray and gaskets. These pan kits will sell retail for $840.00 when they start showing up at Summit and other retail outlets. I have 10 pan kits being shipped to me next week if anyone is interested in one they can PM me here for more information or a price quote.
