I'm sending out a handful of prototypes for guys to test fit. If there are no fitment issues then I will make a batch of them. The Charger console has a lot less room so it's been a struggle to make one that fits.

This is what I installed on my dad's caddy a few years back: https://www.ravelco.com/
It's a kill switch so you'll never be able to remote start your car ever again and valet parking can be challenging unless you leave it plugged in. My car is a garage queen so I haven't installed one though I'm heavily leaning towards calling Ravelco to setup an appointment just for added piece of mind.

It works by tapping into the wires of multiple sources required to start the car such as fuel pump, ignition, fuel injectors etc. I was present when they installed it and it took them about 4-5 hours. They have to be 100% certain they were tapping in each of the correct wires so they would testing everything. For example when they tapped into the fuel pump they had to make sure it disabled the fuel pump and not something else. It can tap into 16 sources though they don't used that many.

If the car in the video would have had a Ravelco installed it would have prevented the 3rd thief from starting the car. Also if a thief emulates your fob they will only be able to enter your car but not start it.

Does anyone make a smartphone app that allows you to connect to the ECU and change some of the parameters that would allow the car to start?

AlfoOBD can do an awful lot, but I never did look into changing anything of that kind.

FWIW - coming from someone who needed neutral in a hurry, I’d never block it out or make it more difficult to get to… There are better ways to deter thefts.

Thanks, that's a good point...I now plan on some "special" screw head that uses a non typical tool (that I will keep in the trunk) to remove it in those circumstances...although still not a quick solution.
I'm also using ideas earlier in this thread, that key bag etc.
Figuring the dedicated thief will get it (someone here even with a rollback!), but to slowdown the opportunist type...hopefully will go on to easier pickings.

Grainger and few other places sell "tamper-proof" hardware and the bits to use them.

I almost needed to use it Friday night :ROFLMAO:
We got delayed for rain and I forgot cool down was running from the burn box. I shut it off and another half hour or so went by with out starting the car and it was dead dead. Luckily my jumper cables were in the back and we made friends with the guy next to us

Were you able accces the trunk to get to the battery?? Mine has gone out 3 times where the guys had to jump something under the hood to open the rear end. Then get to the battery. I have to keep it on a charger. $200 battery. And do not stall it on the way to the dealer. It will not start. Oh, the dead battery meant reload the navigational system/ Dealer.
