General Motors Announces Plan to Expand Production of Gas-Powered Vehicles in Michigan
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/...oduction-of-gas-powered-vehicles-in-michigan/

"While GM has seen a surge in EV sales recently, overall customer demand for EVs have not met expectations."

“Now the hype is dwindling, and companies are again cheering consumer choice. Automakers from Ford Motor and General Motors to Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Jaguar Land Rover and Aston Martin are scaling back or delaying their electric vehicle plans”

And when the final tax credit is gone, EV demand will be next to nothing.

I'm interested in them, but they are too damned expensive.

Did he give it back yet ?

Rumor is the new small truck will be electric since the F150 was a flop
BEV Ford Maverick
This makes more sense as it is very small & typically not a work horse truck

I just picked up a 2025 F150 this week
5.0 400 HP
Nice sounding exhaust
Way too many flashy BS items thou
They need to have off buttons for about 50 percent of all the shit it has

Like everything the government gets involved in they screwed the EV revolution in the U.S. once you tell everyone how they HAVE TO spend their money people are going to recoil, especially on such an expensive purchase.

As far as GM goes their Cadillac division is staying all EV on any new vehicles. As much as all of us don’t like it EV’s will eventually take over the passenger car market just not as fast as the government wanted.

Very few people even know what engine is in their cars so a car without oil changes, belts, hoses, radiators, fluids, transmissions or even brakes to be worried about is going to be appealing.

Not nearly as many people spend hours and hours in the road like they think they do so most homes can definitely get by with at least one EV. As batteries get cheaper and charging gets faster by the day even the fear of long trips will fall by the wayside.

Of course there will always be the need for ICE for extreme use vehicles so I’m just talking about the typical passenger vehicle market. It’s inevitable, the timeframe is the only question.

If you have a home charger and use it for getting groceries and trips to the hardware store, an EV makes some sense. Long trips and hauling loads, no way.

Perfect example of how some people take longer to catch on than others.
