That’s the first time
I’ve seen that orange car
Race.

Usually it just runs solo passes.

Great entertainment
Car has competed many times including yesterday at my Home track MoKan Drag Strip in the 6.50 index. Where I got KILLED. So, you have a Demon 170 and you bracket race it? I don't reccomend this car if you are serious about competing with it. It's challenging to say the least. The most fun is running Private rentals where the track is set on Kill and the car can shine and you can learn things.

If I was driving the car likely would have gone 9.00 give or take a few hundredths. I think It has gone 8.94 @ +900 feet. On this day the DA was +1367 feet when they ran and the car was ready. Unfortunately Herman blamed everything on me and the car setup. The thing is he posted a Video and I can clearly see what was done wrong. I had a hunch because the car would not do a static burnout (which was abusive and hard to watch) and the car did not do much of a Wheelie. The car SHOULD have done a huge Wheelie and so he blew it becauce that would have made some great Video. Even better than the second run. If you freeze and blow up the "in the car Video", you can CLEARLY see that he had the Launch Control enabled when he was trying to do his burnout. That is why the car would not do a burnout and had Stalled. When he restarted it, he forgot to put it in DRAG drive mode. So, yes it was laying over on the shifts, but still managed 149 MPH. If in DRAG mode it likely would have got over 150. What a mess..........
Ron,

Thanks for the explanation/clarification. I know you did Herman a solid by letting him drive, but Herman sold his 170 months ago and his timeslips show that he was rusty. I was hoping you would take over on the 2nd pass but that probably was never going to happen.

If the Demon 170 does not
Make a great bracket car

You can still learn how to react to a
Light with it

Keep practicing
You will find your light

Why not? With trans brake seems you can dial it in around 9.1 - 9.30 at will?

I practice everyday

Bracket isn't heads up though so slow is relative unless I'm misunderstanding.

My 170 is usually one of the fastest cars at my local track and thats compared to ltrailered race cars with big tires. Kinda pisses those guys off actually lol.

The faster the car
The faster things happen.

In 660ft dial-in racing
It all happens twice as fast as
1320 dial-in racing

10.50 bracket car sweet spot
6.50-6.60

Mine's averaging 6.0 - 6.1 in the 1/8th.

Maybe by slow you mean reaction time?

RT can get a little trickier based on some friends and I testing things. Eye sees light, foot moves on throttle, throttle sends signal to ECM, ECM sends signal to throttle to open - that all takes time and we figure at least 1/10th maybe 2/10th? for all the electrical stuff to happen?

I figure TB will help with that since foots already to the floor and throttle open but honestly I've not gotten good testing in with it yet.

The Demon170 is too slow
For heads up
Need to run in the 7’s to be competitive at my track

My car is heavy
slow to react combined with the Computer controlled delay
I leave on the middle bulb Speedy

Must be a different bracket at your local track. Our street car class cuts off at 9.0. Demon 170 plenty fast for street classes imo.

Yeah I chuckle at some of these but honestly don't care enough to debate about it.

If this was to prove a point you missed your mark a bit. look at the runner up running in the 11's and the winner in low 8's. Do you think no one else raced?
Number one qualifier
The car Runs in the 7s
