The factory battery weighs around 44 lbs. That isn't what I was asking. Was asking what the new battery weighs. The listings are not always accurate and this battery is bigger then the one I have

Cool.im not pulling that sucker out to weigh it.
Used to be allot easier "in the old days".
Strap, electric plug in, post clamps and bottom clamp.
Used to be a bottom clamp " in the older cars.

I get it why I asked if you had weighed it. Mine is smaller then the stock battery and is 14.3 lbs so figure 17-20 lbs for this one being the stock size

Interestingly having some weight in the trunk seems to be the move in these cars.

Removing weight off the front is where it's at.

And it was up front near the grill, not buried in the trunk, under a seat somewhere or right up on the firewall !!

That's what I'm hearing at the dragway. I guess the exception is for track racing which DGatzby does. Probably better for everyone else to just save $.

-30 lbs is good front or back. It maintains a weight balance L-R back there also.

I have not replaced a battery since I started using float chargers, maybe 9-10 years ago. My tractor still has a 2013 battery.
I used the tractor today to clear the 40 or so cubic yards of wet snow bank blocking the RE's bay. I checked the battery, I was mistaken, it is a 2012 battery. It cranked and fired just fine. I am very happy with the float chargers.

I got 8+ years out of the original battery in my Scat Pack, plus the car sat on the dealer lot for a year before I bought it. I got another battery from Dodge. Guess I'll replace it in about 7 more years,
