She had a great .03 light which would win most of the time but he had a .02 light with same ET

There was an article out that the owner said they will build a new track in 24 and be open for 25 racing season. I think it will be out near/past the airport somewhere?.

My dad said the same thing. He thought they said it during Friday qualifying but I watched it and didn't hear it

yes, they confirmed this weekend, that at least they are looking way out near the airport at some sites - that is GREAT news for the sport, but the cynic in me still says as I did up above, don't hold your breath. The Bandimeres' don't owe drag racing anything especially after a 65-year run, and I can imagine with the amount of $ they are getting for their current property will set the family up in pretty good shape should they be tired of the BS in running a race track. It takes a very special (and arguably sick ;-)) person/people/family to want to be in the race track business in this day and age - gotta be in it for the love first, and then try and make it work financially.

Well there is plenty of room for about anything out in that area. I hope they have a buffer so new houses don’t encroach again in a few years if this happens. Someone say something about a new road course too?

That would be good. That will keep it expanding that way more and more. It starts to get real flat out there.

Mopar at Thunder Mountain, rescheduled for Sunday Aug 20th, in conjunction with the PSCA event, so it won't be all Mopar but it's better than no event..
