Just paid almost $1k to register the 170 today. Price was for 15 months and included vanity plate charge. It also included a $48 credit from the M6.
Just to drive your own car? What??? And I thought $35 was a lot for a year. You guys are nuts

Put the sticker on an apparent license plate that this communist fraud laden state still charges me nearly $1,000/yr to register my 2019!
I feel your pain - just paid $847 for two more years on the Durango + wasting a tank of gas getting enough OBD monitors to run...no wonder why there are so many Montana residents out west...i was very close to being another, effing liberal POSs

When we elected Jessie he reset that shit to $1k or less. It was a while ago, I do not remember exactly. Then of course after him they made it come back to the outrageous percentages they charge us.

I just paid $200 for three vehicle renewals, one of which needed a new plate too! Funny because I was just talking to my brother up in Minnesota who had to pay $1200 to renew his newer Tesla. I don't miss that one bit!

It is a % of the reported purchase price. The fuckin dealer in Chicago is part of the problem. They filled on $92,500 cost even though I paid less than $82. They are tied into the IL-MN lets fleece the residents for all they got program.

$20 a year here in GA under that current system [forget what year it took effect]. of course that's after the initial hit of 7+% at time of purchase. anything bought prior to the change is still mil-rated. costs me almost $350 for four cars/trucks per year. damn inflation is preventing my older stuff losing value, keeping the state 'theft' rate too damn high
across the river in SC, they're still percentage based, but capped at $300 - per vehicle. still too much

Colorado is a decreasing amount every year, % based, started at ~$1500 for the HC, and then works its way down to ~$100/yr.
