As we have said since day one on here, electric vehicles are problematic due to the requirement to CHARGE the batteries. The batteries have fundamental other problems owners do not want to acknowledge such as where do the materials come from and where the materials are going to go when expended. This item should get their attention, because it deals with their costs everyday.

It's still far cheaper than gas. Cost about $30 to charge my EV Truck I had. Compared to the Dodge Ram I previously had which was $80 to fill up. There is no problem with plugging in a cord at night tho its easy.

But im in CT and they have high electricity bills compared to some other states.

The whole idea of plugging something in every day sucks. Sick of charging my phone every day. Now they expect me to charge my car? No thanks

Funny how the same people who are fighting nuclear energy have no problem with the creation and disposal of their beloved batteries. Nor do they have a clue as to how inadequate and frail our electrical grid is.

Same here, I was paying 70+ a week and had to stop twice to get gas. Now instead of going to get gas I plug in at night and think nothing more of it. Costs me about 3 bucks a day to go the same distance plugging in at night. Would I drive it cross country? Hell no, but to get to work most of the time it's just fine. If i used the local commercial fast chargers it'd cost nearly the same as gas.

My son has had 3 Ram 1500's limiteds..(leased trucks) he leased the last one during Covid then bought out the lease...this was an ETorque Hemi...he bought an extended warrantee... mid Sept. the Etorque (whatever that is) took a dump and the truck wouldn't start...called the dealer...apparently this part is on National backorder and has been for months...the part runs somewhere around 1500.00...and some have been waiting over 4 months...he tried junk yards for a used one....those that had them wanted 4g's..(even with a used one there's no guarantee how long it would last) the truck sat Idle in his driveway for almost 2 wks....his truck is his DD and he needs it for work...he went looking for trucks..ended up getting as EV Silverado...he just got under the wire for Fed Tax credit...they discounted the EV 18 g's off sticker..than another 2500 cause it had 150 demo miles...they put him in a no money down 24 month lease..sign and drive,,,his payments are 200 a month less than the Ram...His Ram...miraculously started..he shut it off and called Carvana..they came (gave him all the money)..and flat bedded it away...thank God it started when they came for it..So far he loves it...17.00 a day to charge
