That should be 2 or 3/32". Otherwise a new tire would have a 1" tread depth and a half worn one still have 1/2" of tread left.
Yes thanks for letting me know! I meant 32nds had a senior moment again! My bad on that one!

I've run the Conti Extreme (summer only, no need for the "S" in FL) on many different cars & for a long time now. Currently have them on the wife's Q50 Redsport & my Cat. I've considered the Pilot's as they tend to get slightly better ratings, but they are always significantly higher priced. May be worth it if you drive on the hairy edge a lot or race.
I have begun to wonder if the BF Goodrich G force tires might just do as well for a significant reduction in cost over the pilots? But the first 15 to 20 thousand miles the Pilots were very good at traction and ride over those stock banana tire! Also, I have seen where the conti Extreme is a significant reduction in cost as well over pilots. I only drive in rain when I get caught in it.....and snow I couldn't care less, I never drive the Cat in snow at all. It's been in rain only when caught, and this year that's happened more than any other years.

Continental dws 06 plus are fantastic, wet, dry, cold ect. Tested them on several high hp vehicles, even have a few videos on my YouTube with them on my redeye charger. I run them on everything (not my g80 m3 comp yet, still has new tires on it)

Thanks for the info!!! I'm thinking no Pilots this time and move to another tire for the next 4 years.

Some people hate on them but Arturros have always been great to me for stock wheels/around town and can't beat the price

If you want traction get Mickey Thompsons on another set of wheels

Just be aware that any tire rated 'summer only' not only sucks in snow, but get progressively more slippery as temps dip below 50 or so !
By 40 they are totally useless and can even be damaged. Even here in central FL I've experienced it a bit as temps occasionally dip below 30 at night & if I venture out before things have warmed up the car gets squirrely easy !

So depending on exactly how/when you drive your Cat, the DWS-06's might be a better overall choice as they do not have the temp restrictions/issues - just a thought !

Back in the day I had a 2004 GTO. It wore AS tires, drove it in everything but snow. Toyo wore extremely fast, the GY Eagle's after 10kmi were noisy as hell, then switched to Mich (can't remember exactly which but they were AS) and they were like night and day the best, even after 30k mi. It was a real slap in the head about wasting time trying to find a cheaper alternative.

If you plan to drive in temps below 45F, MikeD is right on, AS is the way to go!

If I were you, I'd be looking at Mich AS tires.

Was detailing the car last week and noticed the front tires are age cracking.
PS4s.
Swapped out the rears with nittos about 2 months ago.
Got the PS4s when I got the car (2019).
Still have allot of tread left, but are 6 years old.

@EricG and I had nearly identical inner shoulder thread exposure visible, on our fronts so watch them close.

I've heard many bad reviews on these, would recommend staying away.

I ran a set of Atturos on my old Scat Pack, can't say anything negative about them!

I tried the DWS06 for several seasons. I did not like their wet traction at all--did not feel safe--had to baby it.
I'm currently trying my first set of PS4 AS, will see if they do any better on wet roads here any day now--the weather is about to turn.
