Ah geez my Ford Explorer ST transmission has metal shavings in her and is being replaced. I noticed last week she was shifting hard and took her to the dealer. Thank goodness since the mechanic took her home some 50 miles to his home. He experienced what I told him and damn poor guy coming into work the next morning the car crapped out and had to be towed. He was still 40 miles from work and a coworker picked him up. Great guy and he is actually known in the Northern Virginia area as being one of the best transmission guys. I love my Ford Explorer ST being she is a performance designed SUV and has the detuned Raptor V6 twin turbo motor. She truly hauls ass and has a limiter at 143 ask me how I know šŸ˜. I drive her up and down Route 95 from Va to Florida 980 miles all the time. The Adaptive Cruise is insane on how hard you can drive this car and she brakes on her own going from lane to another lane passing the ass holes holding up the left lane. I have smoked many many other high line SUVs and cars. Even I am amazed his fast she gets down the road. I have the performance brakes and tires upgrade and wow the car brakes I feel even better than my performance cars. Anyways I even told the mechanic and service writer I push this car to its limits and maybe itā€™s me. But they dont think so snd will happily replace the transmission under warranty. Today they dropped the trans and updated me with picturesšŸ˜³. A lot of metal shavings in her.

Is it a 2020 or 2021? I know the 20s had so many issues IDK how they weren't all lemoned. I know a lot were because of transmission issues and a shortage of transmissions.

Ok good. I thought they fixed this issue. How long is the wait to be fixed. Stinks the 2020s are having so many issues. They are fine cars.

Havenā€™t been told any time yet and havenā€™t asked but I will let you know. And believe it or not I owned 3 new 2020 Explorers the Limited with the 4 cylinder, Platinum and my ST. I have not had one issue between all three of them (sold the limited in June) 35k miles. But yeh I hear ya first year production is usually a hit or miss.

We still don't have a build date. We haven't been letting all the issues we see in the facebook group get to us. We know improvements have been made and more people post about issues than good things.
I downloaded a stock tune from one the other day I was going to start combing through. It appears I can run stock boost and e85 with out having to upgrade the fuel system. E50 technically would make more power because boost can go up but I don't want to mix fuels. I'm going to tune my self once it is broke in. I think I will be able to get a high 11 pass out of her tune only
