Wow! https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/a33655402/2021-ram-1500-trx-launch-edition-sold-out/
It's been just three days since Ram revealed its world-conquering 702-horsepower 1500 TRX pickup. Complete with a supercharged V-8 Hellcat engine, a desert-running suspension, and a set of massive 35-inch mud-terrain tires, it's set to be the de-facto F-150 Raptor killer. The company announced today the truck's Launch Edition, of which 702 units will be built, sold out in around three hours. That was quick.
The 1500 TRX Launch Edition is priced approximately $20,000 more expensive than the base TRX, with a starting price of $92,010, including destination. For all of that extra cash, you get a special Anvil Gray paint job, bespoke badging, and the truck's Level 2 equipment group as standard, which includes carbon interior trim, a heads-up display, beadlock-capable wheels, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
“The groundswell of demand for our all-new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition validates our efforts to bring the fastest, quickest, most powerful pickup truck to market,” Head of Ram Trucks Mike Koval Jr. said in a statement. “We said the Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition would go fast. And we meant that in more ways than one.”
Ram says production of the Launch Edition TRX will begin in the early fourth quarter of 2020, so those who reserved a truck shouldn't have to wait long to get their hands on it. We're not jealous. Not one bit.
