Wireless Apple Carplay?

So I really like the Carplay feature and would love it to be wireless. Other then an adapter Im wondering if we can enable wireless or if the blue tooth adapter is the only realistic option. Thoughts?

My Toyota Supra has the factory Bluetooth wireless Apple Play. It’s nice when it works.....consistently which it comes and goes. Biggest thing it’s sucks the IPhone 11Pro dry on battery power pretty quickly.
