As of midnight tonight Unifor workers are on strike in Canada. For those waiting for their Demon to get built before the Brampton plant permanently turns into a pumpkin for the Challenger platform, this is bad news. No other way to spin it, unfortunately.

I'm very thankful that my allocation was VIN-matched and built early. For those still in wait mode, let's hope this impasse gets settled quickly. If not, with less than 2 months on the clock, Dodge may not end up building all Demon 170s before the swapover to EV starts on 12/23/23. This is an unwelcome development since Dodge is already behind schedule with just over 1600 (of the 3326 planned) cars built so far.

Let's hope for the best, a very short strike or better yet, Dodge drops the battery crap, like GM and Ford! It's not too late, to cancel the electric cars and continue to build great powerful ICE automobiles!!!

I think it will be over quickly with Ford & GM already ratifying

I was reading a rant last week about a guy with a VIN matched vehicle he ordered not built yet
&
Several others not VIN matched that were built

I can t confirm the truth of the rant but its would not surprise me

I suspect there could be some rule bending to help get all of these cars built one way or another. If that means starting them and then having to finish them at a later date, I bet they will come up with something.

"Unifor says a tentative agreement has been reached with Stellantis"

That didn't last long.

That means absolutely nothing bro! U'll be waiting just as long as everyone else. Dodge could Axe ur order as well. Lotta politics invloved here so being early in the pecking order has almost ZERO impact of whether someone gets one or not contrary to what Dodge tells their customers.

U could get notice tomorrow stating ur order has been cancelled. You wouldnt be the first or the last.......

I'm very thankful that my allocation was VIN-matched and built early.
