I still have the September 1991 Car and Driver edition that had their Syclone v. Ferrari story on the cover. The Syclone beat it 0-60 and 1/4 mile, despite costing $96k less. That was the time of the dominance of the turbo V-6, starting with the 1986 Buick Grand National, continuing with 1989 Turbo Trans Am (an original of which I still own; it was my first new car) and the Syclone, and ending with the GMC Typhoon (an SUV).

I recognize the track - the Big Willow at Willow Springs, "The Fastest Road in the West" since it's 2.5 miles and only 9 turns (two of which, 6 and 7, are not really turns). I raced my Turbo Trans Am there when I lived in SoCal. It was fun, but I also learned the handling characteristics of my car on the edge in a safe environment. For one thing, I learned it will oversteer going into downhill corners (like turn 5 at Big Willow). This is good to know when taking downhill freeway onramps.

I don’t want a Rivian, but I respect it for what it is.
I had a 2020 Raptor, it wasn’t a bad truck. I just didn’t love it.
I have a TRX, and I wouldn’t part with it for less than $120,000. I love this thing!

My friend here ( see the other thread) bought a TRX and DHC. Just annoy me.
