Yeah and how much battery is left after 1 quarter mile run? The funny thing about these is that there fast but usually they need to be in some silly mode to get the most out of them.. not like anyone in one of these would probably do something on the highway.. but I bet if they don’t have 30 seconds to get it in ultra low super fast cheetah plus plus mode... You roll up in a cat double tap srt cya.. hehe

Not too mention that they need significant cool down time for the battery and motors.
And when driven hard that battery life is really Short.
I put a tesla into limp mode needing to cool down very quickly, and burned through 60% of its batteries charge in short order. Batteries hate being quickly discharged, a few minutes of it and they are hot as hell. I would like that pikes peak race to be to the top and back down, turn and back up, with 5 round trips, and lets see if the tesla can even finish it, much less do well. Yet the gas powered cars will be fine.

The Plaid has made tremendous improvements in the battery cooling area to allow for people to go out and hot lap them (to an extent). Also, getting it to run 0-60 in less than 2 seconds and 9.2 in the quarter mile takes but a couple seconds, way less than a somewhat comparable Demon… also a recent improvement made by Tesla.
The pitfalls of previous generations are being addressed, and quickly, but with change comes new opportunities to screw things up. They’re doing that too.
Just hope you don’t get lined up next to one at a cruise night.

One thing I would like about a Tesla or a Prius is quiet. I know, I know, let the flaming begin…I really don’t like loud exhaust. I used a TON of Dynamat on my Redeye and it was still louder than I liked. Another reason I ordered a Trackhawk.
But still, drive a Tesla or Prius? NEVER!
