My wife had a 2015Jeep GC and that would lock the brakes up if you opened the door while trying to back up. She has a 23 now and I’m sure it’s the same way. Freaked me out the first time it did it.

One nanny I'm surprised doesn't exist yet (as far as I know) is a warning light showing that the wipers are on.

I can. They're an irritant, I think.

Besides, none of the vehicles I tow with have one, and even if they did, a backup camera wouldn't do any good with gooseneck trailers anyway.

But I have slowly learned to ignore that something happened on the dash when putting a car in Reverse. These days I keep looking in the mirrors as usual, instead of thinking "What was that?" when in the corner of my eye I notice that the screen changed.

I will say that I was at a track a few weeks ago where you had to back into the burnout box and it was annoying trying to get the camera to go away to activate line-lock and drag settings.

Why?

Here in NW Ohio it is done to keep wiper blades from freezing to the glass in the winter and makes cleaning ice and snow off easier without damaging the blades.

Dang. We haven't had a night below freezing for quite a while now.

It does still get to 35 or so at night, thankfully, but certainly no reason to worry about the wipers or anything else freezing.

We had a pretty mild winter this year but we get our fare share of bitter cold and lots of ice and snow. Not quite Buffalo snow or Wisconsin cold but we get ours.
