So the speed rating on these is H and up to 130 MPH. What exactly does this mean? The ET Street Fronts are not speed rated, but have been tested up to 200mph on the track. Are they capable of going 150 mph+ safely on the track in the 1/4 or not?

I think speed ratings have a huge liability factor built in for street use on any surface. I ran those Sportsman’s on the half mile after seeing that a 260mph Viper was using them. I ran 185mph. They rode, cornered and stopped better on the street than the stock fronts.

Speed ratings are based on sustained speed, not only comparatively "short" durations.

That being said, that doesn't mean a tire will survive unlimited speed just because you're only going 1/4 mile stretches.

I'm sure the manufacturers spell this out in more detail, but finding it might be a challenge.

The Tirerack has been a good source in the past for some of this kind of information.

I'm planning on running them at the track, mostly for the increased weight rating and I can drive to the track on them (not a trailer queen but also slow)
