It is official. Here is the build for this offseason.

Engine:
2000 HP Plus Hemi 411 Stroker kit by MMX.
Features
  • MMX Spec Mahle Box in Box forging for increased strength and Piston Stability
  • 1.5/1mm/2mm Ring Pack
  • Anodized Top Ringland
  • Grafal Coated Skirts
  • Increased Fireland Distance Over our Normal (411/422/426) Stroker Piston
  • .200 Wall H13 Tool Steel Wrist Pin with DLC Coating
  • Thermal Barrier Top Coat
  • 9.6CC Dish, 10:1 Compression W 6.2/6.4 Head and .054 Gasket.
  • Valve Reliefs for up to 2.200/1.675 Valve Arrangement
  • Callies Ultra Enforcer 6.200 Connecting Rod 2.100 Big End, Multi Phase 3.5 ARP Bolt
  • Winberg Billet Center Counterweighted, 3.900 Stroke Crankshaft with M16 (Hellcat) Bolt for extra clamping force in blower applications and Additional Keyway 180 Degrees from the STD Keyway location.
Thitek ported race heads

Cam: to be determined

Blower: Jokers full tilt porting and some other secret sauce. Not to be disclosed at this time.

Rear End: some secret sauce to keep hookin over 99% of the time

Misc: Cage it and Parachute

Summary: Let's see how far we can push this 2.4 blower and manage our heat problems. We race this car over 35 weeks in 2020, so car needs to hold up and keep wining events.

Goal for 2021: Go faster and safer than last season and maybe go for another record. Let's see....
We won 7 events and placed second in 6 events. So let's increase win total, keep the reliability of the car at 95% and go fast AND HAVE MORE DANG FUN!!!

Regards,
Colby

Trust me, our cars are WAY too heavy to be racing those 3k lbs sheet metal cars - pro mods.

We would need a rocket in our cars to run mid 4's in the 1/8th.

Did something in last year's setup fail? It sounded like you had a winning combination, so just curious why the serious overhaul - other than the sickness we all have, of course.

Jack,
Nothing really failed. We had our issues last year...

Broke stock axel after we upgraded over 1k whp. I did not listen to Allpar Garage and did not replace them. Wanted to save money and was thinking of upgrading to 9" or solid. I broke the axel in a championship round and lost 1st place and we had the better car. <insert curse words here> lol

Then we changed out the stock transmission after 300+ pulls. Increased power load on a stock transmission...had too many pulls on it and 2nd gear was shot.

Stock throttle body is not for racing. It is good for glory passes and daily driving. But not for racing the car in competitions. We upgraded to a Kong 108mm.

Then we had belt slippage on 2.5 pully, so added tensioner.

All in all, lessons learned.

But this year, want to run even faster than 8.7 in -300 DA and run even faster in the heat of the summer. Heat really kicked our asses this year. Racing a car in 90+ degrees takes a toll on the car. We bought 180 lbs of ice for one day of racing. Thus we have plans to combat heat in the blower.

You are correct, stock engine never been opened and stock 2.4 blower never been ported or opened and hold the record at 8.7 @ 153. Just bolt-ons and NOS and a bunch of special sauce LOL!!

Right @hellno??

Hellno (Dave) holds the record for ALL MOTOR at 8.85

We tell everyone at the track...you want the black charger on spray or the silver challenger ALL MOTOR :ROFLMAO::cool:

Dave is a fast mofo but..... Zdung ran a 8.70 and I ran a 8.79 blower only (no spray). Zdung runs 8.3’s on spray and I have no plans to spray. I think before the good air goes away we’re going to see some record setting times. If I can get my shit together behind the wheel, I’m thinking a 8.40 is in the works next month. 😎

I was under the impression that Dman cited stock motor/blower records, right? ZHC went 8.70 before he put the race bullet in the car? I know he was flying just wasn't exactly sure what was under the hood.

Z just recently ran a 8.70 with the nitrous turned off, so that would be a blower only record for a real Hellcat as far as I know. There are so many variables on who claims what as far as records go that it starts getting rediculous at some point. First.... just because a motor is still 6.2L doesn’t mean it’s stock. Also... a highly modified 2.4 L blower isn’t “stock”. But there are some who claim that it is and anybody who deviates from the 6.2/IHI isn’t a Hellcat anymore. Oh well. 🤪. I try to stick to the MSHS Heavyweight class rules that say “single power adder” (blower) at 4400 lbs is the rule. Add nitrous/add 200 lbs. It doesn’t matter what displacement or which blower. Nor does it matter the type of nitrous system or how much. It’s a heads-up class and David was class champ this year. The guy is as serious as they come! To run under 9.0 at 6.2L with a 2.4 SC is a huge accomplishment and that certainly should be applauded, but to say it’s being done with a stock motor would be misleading. To me.... blower only performance vs spraying is the big question. Adding cubic inches and a big blower doesn’t get you down the track in under 9 seconds. There’s a ton of 426 Whipples out there and most can’t get that done. There are a few spraying huge nitrous power on relatively stock motors and are getting it done. That’s a skill to be respected also. Then there’s Zdung who can do both and that’s why he’s GOD. 😂
