Sure miss the $300 clutch days
I thought your cat was an automatic?

I just picked up this Mantic triple for 2200, with new TOB assy and all. Will be weighing it to compare to stock and RXT1200HD assemblies, I’ll post numbers 24945B65-B4B6-48E9-BAC3-FC27C777454A.jpeg

It is an auto. Just saying the price of clutches is high. I had plenty of manual cars in the past

I finally got this installed and a little over 200miles into the break in, so far I'm very impressed. I loved the way the stock clutch felt and have to say this one feels actually better with a slightly lighter pedal feel. Also very quiet. However, on startup there is a slight high pitch resonance when the starter hits the ring gear with lighter aluminum flywheel. The heavy stock flywheel deadens this sound. Tip that's not in the instructions is to bench bleed the slave before install. I didn't do this but could trap air in the slave that may never work its way out. Can't wait to finish the break in and will update once I start pushing it a little.

500mile break in done. Feels freakin great at high rpm... Like a hot knife though butter

I am getting just a little chatter at times. Less than I expected for a performance clutch.

Looking forward to see how it does making some passes.

Take the REAL CDV valve out and your chatter on start off issues go away I bet. Just take it out and take the internals out of it and put it back in and see if you see a difference it only takes 1520 minutes to do. You can put the parts back in just as easy too. I just did mine and it is a whole difference starting out with the RXT1200 HD no more chatter and it’s not really picky to get it right anymore.

I'd be mainly worried about launching at 3000+ rpm  my driveline behind the clutch is still stock except for ds and diff brace.

Yea, want to leave it there then. Lol but I tell you what a difference it makes in how the clutch feels on start off. It feels just like a stock clutch now perfectly easy and smooth. I love it now.

Update. I haven’t been to the track yet but have done some spirited driving and I will say the clutch performs very well at high rpm and gets there faster due to the aluminum flywheel. The chatter I was having taking off in first has gone away. Biggest downside is a little bit of rattle from the floater plates in 1st/2nd low rpm and if depressed when sitting still. Not too bad but stock clutch gets the win in that category.

What’s it like driving around at slow speeds (ie parking lot/ slow traffic) with the aluminum flywheel?

I put an aluminum flywheel in my Viper and loved the difference in downshifts. Definitely was noisier and at slow speeds the car gets a little jerky. But the benefits outweighed those cons for me.

It feels about the same at slow speeds, just a little rattle here and there. I guess it just goes with the territory. It really shines tho getting up to rpm in 1-4. The AL flywheel makes a noticeable difference and the clutch engage and disengage feels a lot better. It does bite hard.
