So, lets keep this thread on track, regarding high mileage Hellcats and any possible issues, you've encountered.

This should help other DD owners know what to look for. Maybe share any quality aftermarket sundry parts knowledge (i.e. oil filters, HID headlight bulbs (capsules), etc.).

2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat.

I've already had my SC replaced, at around 50something K miles. It got really noisy, bearing wise. There's a thread, here, detailing the ordeal (which went really smoothly, by the way).

High 40k's, I experienced a weird headlight failure. Thought it was a bad HID bulb. Nope. Thought it was the ballast. Nope. Turned out to be a weird issue where both headlight fuses were badly burned and distorted, causing an intermittent condition, on the driver side. Both fuses were just as bad, but only the driver side was acting up.

Around 60K had the center console bolsters and inside driver door panel replaced, under warranty (thanks @DodgeCares), due to skin separation.

UConnect 18.45.01 is the worst update... causing numerous issues, like not switching power warnings (yellow triangles), GPS issues (which it was supposed to fix), HVAC sync dropouts (system drops sync and forces feet only blower mode).

High 40K's, had my humidity sensor fail, which caused all kinds of havoc with the the HVAC.

71K rear driver door outside latch failure (need to order one).

I told Nancy wood get to ya. Go on Amazon and order those small, battery powered called govee. Tell ya humidity tempts and others you don't want to know. Got sum new room UV lights called scerilize X. Keeps the Nancy out of your house if possible. Also bought a machine called a Nuwave Oxypure. Very interesting equipment. Air purifier. Have been in the business for over 25 years and this critter does wonders.
Sunday,, going to see a buddy of mine,,, electrical engineer. Kinda understands what we are doing with the low voltage cat eyes. I will PM with any questions. He is concerned about drilling the holes in the fenders. Has to happen. LA going down 2 nite.

I have 48k on my 2015 challenger hc

About 35k I had the ds changed. I didn’t think it needed to be due to groaning noise coming from rear end. But the dealer said that was the problem and I wasn't going to refuse a new ds

About a week later I had the diff oil changed which was the actual problem

42k had the sc replaced (bearing noise)

All above was done under warranty.

45k Replaced one of the tire sensors

That’s about it

I'm using neatsfoot oil, on my leather. Works great! 71k and still looks like new.

Takes overnight, to soak in. Keeps the leather supple.

What do you guys use?

This! I had this problem on my 2015 Scat Pack, took forever to trouble shoot and figure out, was replacing HID bulbs, checking wiring...etc, finally traced it back to a fuse under the hood that was charred. For me it was the passenger side headlight, but this could be a fire hazard! Will watch this '19 close for that issue.

55k miles and counting. Daily it when the weather is good. So far I've had the following issues. V86 recall snafu, not going to touch that one in this thread. Right now power steering pump is going, rear actuators for trunk are bad and I've had it clock me in the head. Rear defroster does not work (need to thermal paste the thermo coupler back to the window).

With these cars, the term "high mileage" can be all sorts of numbers. 😂

In still in the lo 20's on my 16' Charger with zero issues whatsoever.


And I've only owned and taken 1 car over the 100k on my own. My 98 C5.

One of the more disappointing things I've observed, is the finish on some of the interior components. For example, the steering wheel airbag trim. The "chrome" they use really sucks. It scratches easily and rubs off.

I considered the lighted airbag mod, but after laying hands on one, I found they suffer from the same quality issue.

I may just replace it with an eBay carbon fiber piece.

Anyone else have, or had this issue?
