How much is that thing going to cost? Where did the rest of the power go? Only 575HP? Ehh, I'd buy it. (y)

The original concept reveal in Texas they said 575hp. I’ve seen other rumors since that the TRX will get the full 707hp. I guess only time will tell.

The driveline loads with those 37" tires are going to be massive - so that would suggest the muted power levels. Low-end and low speed torque is what it needs most.

Any bets on the pricing? $90-100k Ram might be a tough sell. Some of the higher end models are already in the 60’s

The 5 year plan screenshot has the TRX as a MY22.

Meanwhile as we wait to stratosphere lol Ford will update the Raptor with as much power and or more. Just way too long has this concept to production been showed and talked about. I truly don’t understand why Ram wouldn’t use an existing 1500 model lowered and or factory ride with a HC motor option. I think this would be so much more practical on a daily driver just smoking all the wannabes and I owned the Viper trucks which were gnarly with the Viper motor. Come on Ram get creative with the 1500 package that’s the ticket.

2 wheel drive performance trucks just don't sell. They're going after more popular markets.

Didn’t say 2 wheel I meant the 1500 and either would be an option 4x4 or 2x4. What’s the big deal of Ram doing this anyways....I mean price wise it would be an affordable truck. The TRX is going to be pricey, impractical for most and a gas guzzler. Once you get into the 70-80k range the diesel optioned heavy duty trucks look more attractive and damn the new diesels are pushing insane torque and nice hp. And sure there is a niche market of buyers for pricey trucks but damn put it in the 1500 and be done with it.

Ram made a RT for years in 2WD and 4WD and it didn't sell well because it was a 2 door. The SRT10 you pictured above was a big PR success but a huge sales flop. The public chose they wanted larger trucks. 2 doors are dead.
Now the next option is a crew cab with a 440 HP or so 6.4L. It will be detuned for HP because it will have to be dual purpose and tow at least 10K lbs in this market. Or ... you could just go for a bigger splash and do a Hellcat TRX, which they are doing. Ford has proven there is a profitable market there. Noone has succeeded on a performance street truck for a very long time. The Lightning is the last I remember.

with another website saying the 7.0L TR is dead, i'd think a base TRX will be mid 60s to mid 70s to start.
Sergio wanted higher transaction prices and the 2nd Gen Raptor was averaging around 80k

A loaded TRX will push 100k like the Trackhawk

If this truck can be done under 70k, i will get one.
