Considering the Hellephant crate motor was like $35K (not including all the markups) and 1000HP I'd say that's a pretty decent price all in.
I still believe the Hellephant was a pipe dream. How many actually got sold or found their way into the public domain? I never heard of anyone on here rave about their great acquisition?

In-N-Out has a (not so) "secret" menu that you can order via the slang terms - it's not officially documented, but their employees are all well-trained in the secret menu. So that is basically a 100 patty cheeseburger. My usual is a triple..."3x3".

Maybe 1 day I'll experience an in and out burger. Seems to be a universal favorite.

I know of a couple people that got them but they were stupid expensive at $75K - $100K for the engine which is just ridiculous. That's why you don't hear much about them I think. This was the original batch of 100 units.

SRT Autoworks got one when I was there. If I remember, with the package (pcm, harnesses, gas pedal, etc) it was $42k. They ended up installing it in a Trackhawk. Did a lot of promotional stuff with it. It was owned and driven by a lady. Hauled ass but was a daily and not a track car that was pushed. Only picture I still have. 😂 0DE66FAC-5098-4FEA-8217-AB72871DB21E.jpeg

For sure!! They are THE best in many's opinion, and a great American success story of the business - family started, and still family owned. They refuse to sell out, and will not compromise food quality for the sake of expansion, hence, that's why it has been slow and very calculated. One visit to any store will stand out like a brick to the head as far as the type of employee they will hire, food quality, cleanliness, efficient process, etc. The granddaughter of the founders now owns and runs the whole banana, and is also a hard-core drag racer - races in Top Sportsman in D7, and a billionaire-ess. Last I heard, they were headed to Nashville area next, so they are getting closer.

I think you could build the bottom end for $10k, another $10K for the SC then you'll have to get a controller and the other electronics .......$30K Seems like a pretty good price.

The A blocks are also aluminum?
A for Aluminum. C for Cast Iron

I literally just got into an argument with some dude whose the only Hellephant in a Trackhawk. I guess he the installer? Dude crying to me that the new lineup of Hellephant's isn't a Hellephant, they're just a "series of Hellephants." I guess he mad Dodge about to bring a bunch of Hellephant's out and over paid thinking it was "exclusive."

There is only one real Hellephant engine and that is the Aluminum 426 that came out a couple years ago rated at 1000 hp on pump gas. Now Dodge is selling a horde of Hellcat crate engines and calling them Hellephants because they own the name and can. So I will guess that there are a whole bunch of dips with their hats on backwards saying they got a Hellephant in their whatever. This is the Trackhawk I was referring to. It has the aluminum 426 crate Hellephant in it and was absolutely the first one of those on the street. It came out of SRT Autoworks in Phoenix Az. Don’t know where it is today. 81AA9900-A672-4418-B410-A8644216B7B5.jpeg

The A blocks are also aluminum?

So I'm confused. I have an article that says the "A" blocks are not only aluminum blocks, but also are 7.0L (426ci).

What's the truth?

For those who want more turnkey power, Direct Connection also has the A30 and A170 engines. These engines measure 426 cubic inches (7.0 liters) and feature an aluminum engine block rather than cast iron. The A30 – the original Hellephant – is designed to run on pump gas and it delivers 1000 horsepower while the C170 is tuned to run on E85 and it makes upwards of 1,100 horsepower.

A bit confusing for sure - need a matrix or a decoder ring to keep 'em all straight. I agree, I wish they retired the name Hellephant for what it was or keep offering the identical combination, and not call them all that now.
