Can we turn Tapatalk messages off?

Ive been using mobile version ever since Ive registered. Today I keep getting this annoying popup:


Its annoying, can we turn it off?

I'm not getting it... but then I have a moderate amount of security set up on both the phone and desktop (yep, still rock the old desktop)

So it looks like Tapatalk is getting greedy and added that new feature, the only way to turn it off via their account settings is to pay them $5 a month. I did a workaround that blocks their pop-up on our site. Let me know if that works or the pop-up still happens.

Thank you so much. If it got worse was about to block tapatalk.com and their CDN on my network.

For the nerds that monitor their networks like I do if you are looking for a solution to block everything follow along... Did some HTML spelunking...

Blocked header.tapatalk-cdn.com and www.tapatalk.com to start off with which is what gave me the grey screen above the mobile view pictured above with no way to get out of it. Then found the real culprit:
groups.tapatalk-cdn.com. Went right into my DNS settings on my PiHole and told it to fuck right off..


Bounced my DNS cache, verified with nslookup on Windows it was gone, tested on phone and it was gone, happy camper. No more tapatalk bullshit anywhere on my network. Use this method just in case one day they change how the theme is loaded in tapatalk based websites.

I use pfsense for my home network and a Palo Alto for my work network
