I was looking at getting the Burnbox for my 2018 Challenger. Only reason is for the line lock feature. I’ve read a few posts all a few years old and it sounds like people were having issues with modes changing, and or the line lock cutting out early. I also saw some people say their data logs were glitchy while using it. Have these issues been fixed in the last few years? Or did I just stumble across a bunch of bad posts and for most people they don’t have issues?

Subscribed...Ive been thinking about getting one strictly for line lock. I dont need flashing lights and all the other tricks it does.

I bought one for the line lock and cool down features. I left it plugged in and it killed my cars battery within a few days. Tossed it after that.

That wouldn’t bother me to bad if I just plugged it in before the track. You think they could have programmed a sleep or standby mode to prevent this.

Well I just found one on eBay with the double bypass for 185 bucks. So I bought it. I guess if I don’t like it I’ll just sell it. I’ll report back later.

You activated it and shut the car off that is why. I found that out using the cool down feature. You have to shut it off before turning the car off

That was what I was going to say to do is see if you can find one used. You can also use the cool down feature if you are trying to get the supercharger cooled off faster. The line lock alone is worth the money

I read a few posts of people saying the line lock would cut out on them. Who knows. The post were old. Maybe things have improved. Maybe they used it wrong...

Post up your experience if you would, and maybe a few vids using it.

If you are using it for line lock just keep the performance pages up. If after the burn out it switches modes or locks some part of it. All you have to do is press another mode like track and back to your default.

I bought it for line lock and the cool down feature as well. I actually removed mine and no longer using it.

The line lock working was intermit for me and that was with the latest software. The cooldown is nice but you have to watch it or it will drain your battery. Unless you are able to run it for a good amount of time, it doesn't cool the car down enough, esp in in summer weather. Just my experience. YMMV.

Just foot brake it for burnouts. Yes, it saves some rear brake wear. How much? Ehh who the hell knows.

I threw mine away. I had issues more than once with it screwing up the abs, where the brakes wouldn’t hold the car at the line when bringing the rpm up against the converter after using the line lock. I red lighted and wasted the pass/lost because of that a couple times before I figured out it was because of the Burnbox. I always had to do the entire mode reset before staging after using it. Considering that these cars have no problem doing a burnout on the foot brake...... why bother? I was told that the more expensive Tazer works differently and won’t have those problems. No thanks.

I have used the foot brake on my Daytona but the burnout were hit or miss. The line lock works way better. After getting it for the Daytona my only complaint was why I didn't do it sooner. Had to buy a different one for use on the Hellcat and was one of the first things I bought for the car.

Mine's been pretty much flawless. Bought it used from someone who got a Demon a few years ago. Used it this past weekend for line lock and cool down all day on Saturday. I love it and got the little chicklet buttons for the steering wheel to make it like factory. Leave mine plugged in all the time with a double bypass cable attached in the trunk.

Only issue I've seen is mine will lose the settings sometimes if I'm loading tunes a lot. I just double check to make sure it's still working after loading a tune and go on about my business.

Hopefully, the key to have a flawless one is buy it used ;) I'm going tonight to go pick up the aad drag pack. Next trip out with these two things should hopefully really improve my times.
