These rear tires work the best for me when new but wear quickly. Lately I have been plagued with a deep cut all the way around a tire, this is strange because the last set I had did the same thing, same type of cut all the way around a tire. Could this be a manufacture defect? Maybe a ware mark.

I would contact Hoosier. May just be there to tell you when you need to replace them once it disappears. Normally a slick will have wear holes to gauge when they need to be replaced

Looks like a defect to me. I have never seen DBR's like that before.

Went bracket racing yesterday at my local track (Woodburn dragstrip) and I got called up to the tower and was told that I can no longer run my Hoosier slicks and that I have to put all my OEM seats back in the car to comply with NHRA street legal class. I guess one of my competitors got all butthurt because I won the last race and complained to the track official, anyway so I’m going back to Mickey Thompson ET street R for the rear and street fronts. All DOT compliant so now no one can say I am cheating. I have ran these tires before and they work great on these heavy challengers but they weigh ten pounds per tire more than the Hoosier DBR’s. This will slow the car down a few tenths of a second but I should still be in the high 9’s. I will probably be selling the kirkey seat and the air bag harness’s. This suck’s !
