I’m not sure of the “proper” procedure for aligning the cradle when reinstalling but I hung a plumb bob from each side of the car and measured to the centre of the axel stub then also measured from the centre of the axel stub forward to the same point on the car on both sides.
I managed to get the cradle cantered both side to side and front to back within 1/16” or 1/32” per side so that should be good enough and I will be getting an alignment done anyways in the spring.
Even if this step is behind you, reading the BMR directions for installing a cradle lockout kit could still be helpful for working on the cradle overall. It’s great when manufacturers provide installation instructions for their parts these days, because they give good tips too.

Everything is looking good!

My fuel clip showed up today from Aliexpress and it didn’t match the photo on their site and did not work, I guess I will find out how good the return/refund system works there.

IMG_7697.jpeg IMG_7698.jpeg I have been taking my time and enjoying the “build”process as well as getting to know the car a little more intimately and am almost finished. I re-installed the exhaust and finished up everything at the rear of the car so the last thing I have to do, for now, is change the front springs out to the demon killer springs then I will take it in for an alignment. I noticed there isn’t a lot of adjustment in the front end for alignment so hopefully everything can be dialed in without too much issue. I see there are aftermarket cam bolt adjusters available which requires you to elongate 8 holes in the subframe to allow the cam bolts to work, either with a die grinder or a special tool from SPC. It would be nice if I didn’t have to go through that process. Does anyone here have any experience with their car in this regard ?
My hydraulic cart came in very handy again for re-installing the exhaust.

This whole setup was used when I got it and I noticed a small groove in the driveshaft when I got it all home. This was an area of contention with a few people early on in this post when I was being criticized for not following the “advice” I received about purchasing this setup. The groove is quite minor and the photos actually make it look worse than it is, but once I installed the driveshaft it became pretty obvious it was caused by rubbing on a heat shield. There was also a very small hole in the driveshaft boot which I repaired with a bit of “right stuff”. IMG_7677.jpeg IMG_7706.jpeg

Well the fuel clip showed up from Amazon and it appears to be the correct one. $30.00 for a little bit of plastic but cheaper than the $150 Dodge wanted for the full line. IMG_7713.jpeg IMG_7716.jpeg

Changed out the front springs the other day to the “Demon Killer” springs I got with the used suspension package IMG_7730.jpeg IMG_7731.jpeg IMG_7733.jpeg i. They are actually from Dusterhoff Racing so maybe demon killer springs are different?
They are definitely taller than the stock Redeye springs and also a smaller diameter.

I also checked the weight of my front skinny compared to the stock wheel and rubber.

The ET street fronts are super light. I have a set almost brand new sitting here for sale (2022 date code). I switched to the sportsmans. I think my car is too heavy for the ET street fronts

Well the car is “done”, other than an alignment, so it is just a matter of waiting for the good weather to hopefully show up in a couple of months.
In the meantime I decided to go ahead with a mezzanine project I have wanted to do since we moved here about 2 1/2 years ago. We live in a barndominium style home that was built in 2020 and although it was framed in during construction, there wasn’t an entrance to the shop from the second floor, which is our main living area, so I decided to go ahead and finish it.
So although this isn’t a post about the car it is the car’s place.
