Contrary to popular belief, I can predict the future. At least to the extent that I know when to lock the hubs ahead of time. Wish I had true locking hubs on all my 4X4s.

Better than the sheet metal is that the mileage is less than 7,000 on it.

Side impact? Well, it is a diesel, so if I did somehow get hit my main worry would be slipping when getting out of the cab.

Utility vehicles? You ain't seen nothing yet. Or maybe I have posted pics of a few of them?

look closely I said fuel tank, not gas tank. come on Jimmy your slowing down man LOL. I have seen several of the beasts you acquire. Like I said ya always come up with cool shit. Auctions, army surplus’s are those your channels to get em.

Yeah, most have been bought at auction, and I have really lucked out on their condition. And generally also price. That's what happens when buying the "non-runners" that everybody shies away from.

But my latest acquisition, a Can-Am Defender Limited cost me dearly. And somewhat like with the TRX, that one's also my girlfriend's fault. She got one to haul horse crap with about two weeks ago, I checked it out and couldn't resist getting one myself. It's great for pulling the harrow, which is all it's been used for so far. Five miles and counting.

So one's a long bed and one a shorty, but take note here (talking to you ChargerChallenger and Hellcatcfp), there are only four doors between the two of them. Since neither of us are running commercially, that's all we need. DSCN4151[1].JPG

Thanks. Now I average about 5-8 mph across the grass, which is about twice the speed the 4WD converted Postal Jeep, that used to do the job, would/could do. (Suspension and steering related).

Not living unless you've got that gas tank in the cab action going on. Right behind the bench seat. Loose gas cap at shoulder level by the door, when loose and cornering you spray gas on people.

OMG......that brings back memories.

My father had purchased an old Dodge ('64) pickup from the Army auction, and that truck had the gas tank in the cab, behind the seat. It leaked. So the truck always smelled like gasoline. He had that gas tank out numerous times trying to fix it, but as far as I know, he was never successful.

Here's the fun part.....

He was a smoker.

So here we were driving around in this truck that reeked of gas, was actively leaking gas, and he's lighting up one after the next.

Several times I asked him why he just didn't go to the junk yard and get another tank, and his reply was "that shit costs money". Now mind you, this was in the early '70's and I'm guessing a gas tank for that truck was probably around $10 from the place that you picked your own parts. He never seemed to mind spending the money on cigs though.

Fun times.

I like the tank in my (real) Jeep. Since it's under the driver's seat, and there are no pesky doors, I can fill it without getting out of the Jeep.

Okay, I'd have to get out to clean the windshield, but I took that off a long time ago. Replacing the glass after every rollover got expensive.
